8:30am warmup
9:00am meet start

Fort Caswell Info
100 Caswell Rd. Oak Island, NC 28465
A Fort Caswell Lifeguard will be at the entry gate.
Proceed to pool, down the entrance road to the right.

Swimmers & swim team families are not allowed to roam around campus or go on the big hills. Be good guests & follow the rules established by Fort Caswell so that the Marlins can continue to use that facility.

Pool & Set Up Info
All Barracudas are asked to sit together! We will have designated space on the deck and outside of the fence on the grass.
We ask that age groups sit together so that we can easily get swimmers over to clerk of course in time for their events. We have more space so parents and kids can sit together - if everyone is in the same area it is easier to manage clerk of course.

Pool Deck Set Up:
* Set up no earlier than 2:30pm. Please allow coaches and volunteers time to set up the deck prior to family set up.
* All Barracudas should set up on the “tree” side of the pool. The area by the shallow end is reserved for Landfall swimmers and families.

Age Group Area:
Parents! We need your help to make this set up successful!

1. We need more tents! 3 more, at a minimum, will help us create enough shade for all swimmers. These tents can be set up each meet, can be loaned for the summer or donated.
2. Parents - share your tents with other parents! We do not have the space on the deck for a one-family to one-tent ratio.
3. All swimmers need to sit in the designated age group area.
4. All swimmers need to wait in their designated area until they are called to clerk of course by a YWCA coach.
5. We need more age group parents to step up and help supervise our 8 & unders.
If you know your child needs more support, please sit with the group and actively help with ALL Kiddos - not just your own.
For kids that are a bit more independent, it is okay to check in on them from time to time - to help make sure they have what they need - otherwise, let them have a little space to gain some independence.
6. PLEASE, do not bring massive bags of candy. We had quite the mess on the pool deck at the intersquad meet. It’s great to bring and share snacks but 17 pounds of candy created a whole other level of chaos for the sugared-up 8 & unders.

Mark your calendar! Wednesday June 24th is Picture Day! Please come to your assigned age-group practice. All swimmers should arrive on time to ensure they are included in the team photo and should be wearing a team suit (if they have one) and their orange team shirt.

Help Coach Kyndall and Coach Alan capture the awesomeness of the Barracudas! We will need volunteer help with getting the kids lined up at the start of practice for an age-group photo, then managing the line to get swimmers through individual photos. Sign up here: https://signup.com/go/jraSJHN

Volunteers needed for Wednesday’s Black Meet vs Landfall! Sign up here: https://signup.com/go/jraSJHN

We need timers, stroke & turn judges, volunteers to set up tent city, age group parents, and a pool viewing room host who will let people into the main building and ensure the room is left in the condition it was found.

As a timer, be sure to double check swimmer numbers! We had some missed numbers for the relays (we did sub out swimmers) and some missed numbers on events. Don’t just rely on the heat sheet to enter swimmer numbers! Please check swimmers before they leave the lane.
