Whiteface Mountain Races has something for EVERYONE!

🔵The Marshak Mountain Race will make use of mountain utility roads, grassy and/or hummocky slopes, and a blend of ascents and descents at roughly 40% grade. All told it’ll cover roughly 3,900’ of gain and loss over 10k.

🟠Sky Racers, take another lap will ya! The 2-loop Race ISF Certified SkyRace double the course for almost 8,000 ft of vertical in a roughly 20k distance.

🟡Entrants can register for each race, or double up for the combo in the form of the Vert J***y. Vertical gluttons capable of pulling of two loops and setting off for a final Ascent in the uphill race will have put in nearly 11,000’ of gain in the day.

🟢The VK is about as direct as we can get you up the mountain, covering roughly 3,200’ of elevation gain in 2.5 miles. A certified VK course, right here in the East!

🟤Kids Klymber, a 1’ish mile ascent from the top of the Gondola to finish alongside the Ascent line and geared towards kids and their parents.

Alright, let's get this revised format live for the Whiteface Sky Races. Pushing back to August 15th to align it within (though not a part of...though we tried) the New England Mountain Running Series calendar. Sorry for the lag in getting it out and open. We'd bid on this year's US Mtn Running Championships but, unfortunately, it went to a softer west coast race.

One day instead of two, hopefully allowing more social gatherings Saturday night, and to kick off social / fun group runs the morning after on local trails and up ADK peaks, and, hopefully with some brand test runs possible. Dropped the VK from the mix (even though we loved the VK), and revised both the MMR and SkyRace courses which, because why not, adds in a bit more elevation gain.

The MMR will offer a beautiful 7.5 mile loop and about 5k of gain, and the SR about 15 miles with just under 10k of gain. And we'll craft some sort of kids race cause kids running on mountains are awesome.

Can you help us spread the word? Bring some friends and let's make this a fun summer weekend in the mountains!
