🤺CLUB UPDATES🤺:

🤺Basic summer practice schedule this week:

The main practices stay on Tuesday and Thursday night, practices most Saturdays. Coach Spahr will be in at 11 am this Saturday as 10 proved to be too early.

🤺The last beginner class for the academic year will end this week.

🤺🤺GARAGE? BASEMENT? SALE🤺🤺:

🤺You may have noticed how hard it is to hang up jackets in the office, not to mention all of the ones that are on the rack in the fencing area. To solve this issue we are going to be selling our club jackets and knickers to our members for $5. If you have that favorite jacket that you absolutely swear is the only one that fits, now is your time to grab it. Bring it to one of the officers and let us check it to make certain it still passes safety and other regulations, hand us your Abe Lincoln, and it will be yours. First come first served.

🤺🤺🤺HONORS FOR OUR FRIENDS🤺🤺🤺:

🤺Donny Zelinski and Zemi Lawrence are being honored by USA Fencing at the Hall of Fame Dinner at the Summer Nationals in Portland.

Donny is receiving an award for his service to the Division and Zemi is receiving one for the work done on making streaming from National events possible.

Congrats for the well-deserved honors to both! 🤺❤️🤺❤️🤺❤️🤺

🤺Thoren D. went 0-5 in the pools and lost his first DE to finish 30th.

🤺Walter D. was 1-4 and lost his DE to finish 25th.

🤺Joel E. followed a similar path to finish 24th.

All the DEs were losses to As and Bs.

🤺Patrick G. was 4-2 in his pool and won his first DE before losing the second to finish 13th.

🤺For the A2 open epee Brendan McConville was 4-1 in the pool, earned a bye in the first round and lost a close 2nd round DE to finish 18th.

🤺Patrick was 4-2 in the pool, also earned a first round bye, and won his first fenced DE. He then lost to the eventual silver medalist and finished twelfth.

🤺In the final event, a D and under foil, Thoren was 1-3 in his pool, lost his DE and finished 12th.

🤺Walter was 3-1 in his pool, won his first DE, but lost his second to finish 6th overall.
