Dear Volunteers,
Thank you for your generous gift of time, energy, and dedication. Your willingness to serve made a meaningful difference, and we are deeply grateful for everything you contributed.
Whether you volunteered behind the scenes or worked directly with participants, your kindness, enthusiasm, and commitment helped make our efforts successful. Your support not only accomplished important tasks but also created a welcoming and positive experience for everyone involved.
We would like to thank Tina Butterbrodt for donating her services as our meet starter. Her professionalism and love of the sport showed very much during our meet. Todd Lockwood, thank you for continuing to donate your time to our kids and program. Letting us use your golf cart and knowledge of track helped make the meet run smoothly. Mrs. Strong, Boersma, Bryant, Hill, Van Tilburg and Van Duyne, you were all rock stars by revamping and running the registration table as well as handing out medals and taking pictures. If not for your dedication and volunteering, this meet can simply not happen. Mrs. Wengelewski, thank you for running our concession stand. Once again, without your help, this meet would not be a success. Mr. Boersma, thank you for running our long jump event. What a huge help to not worry about an event because you donated your time and knowledge. To the Wilmington Public Library and Wilmington Park District for donating resources and equipment to help make our meet run smoothly. Thank you Laurie Van Duyne for a gracious donation for our track program. We would also like to thank our student athletes that donated their time to help run this meet, Zander Van Duyne, McKenna Van Tilburg, Cole Boersma, Logan Hill, Colby Wengelewski, Roslyn Wengelewski, Kenzie Rodriguez, Liam Anderson, Jayce Strong, Taylor Stickel, Steven Ortiz, Sawyer Cravens and Billy Moore. It is not only a pleasure to coach wonderful student athletes but it is rewarding to see them give back to their sport and program.
Lastly, we would like to send out a special thank you to Dana Bryant, Ashley Van Tilburg and Carrie Van Duyne for creating our new Finish Line Fund, which is a non-profit parent organization aimed at raising money to support all things track and field for the Wilmington School District track and field athletes.
We know that volunteering requires giving up your personal time, and we truly appreciate your willingness to do so. Your compassion and teamwork inspire those around you, and your contributions have had a lasting impact.
On behalf of all of us coaches, Stephanie Stickel, C**t Monroe, Scott Cupples, Todd Lockwood, Nate Strong, Katie Long, Jenna Roberts, Bill Cravens and Brooklyn Flores, thank you for your hard work, generosity, and dedication. We are fortunate to have volunteers like you, and we hope you'll join us again in the future. Please save the date for July 16th 2027!
With sincere appreciation,
