All four of our girls punched their ticket and are headed to State representing Island City Misfits Elite Wrestling.

4 for 4. Every single one earned their spot.

The early mornings, the practices, the grind, the sacrifices — it all led to this moment. Now it’s time to go down to Peoria and take it one match at a time.

3/4 of our rostered girls taking 1st place and Audrey bringing home 3rd!

Proud, proud, PROUD.

The work that’s been put into these girls is unmatched, and we are forever proud of every one of them. The dedication, the sacrifice, the grind, the sweat, the blood, and the tears.

Swayze, Maleya, and Cynisca — way to show up and show out today. You did exactly what you know how to do.

Audrey — no matter the outcome today, we are so proud of the progress you’ve made in just one week. You’ve only been with us a couple months and you’ve already shown so much heart. That says everything about who you are.

This sport is NOT easy. In fact, it’s the hardest sport physically and mentally. Not everyone can do it — but you girls did it.

To our 2025–2026 All Girls Roster, you are going down in our history books.
Year two… and every single wrestler advanced AGAIN. 🤪

We’re now hosting privates focused on high-percentage scoring and real match situations:

✅ Cradles series (setups + finishes)
✅ Bar & Half series (breakdowns + finishes)

✅ Footwork + level change (better entries, better attacks)

Coming in with the best winning percentage—and doing it with just three girls on the roster. 💪🏼

You don’t need a massive roster to build great wrestlers. You need commitment, culture, and belief. Last season, 5 out of 5 of our eligible wrestlers made it to the state series—100% qualified. This year, our numbers may be small, but we’re still moving mountains.

Not everyone has supported us along the way—but the ones who have stood by us these past year and a half know exactly what this is about.

Why fit in when you were built to stand out?
We’ve always been Misfits. We don’t blend in. We rise up.

It’s been a little while since our last post — and that’s because we’ve been putting the work in.
The growth we’ve seen in Kankakee has been incredible, and we are beyond excited to see what this continues to bring — not only to the wrestling community, but to the community of Kankakee as a whole.
This winter season looks different for us — and that’s intentional.
We are running a freer, more open program because we believe in giving back, creating access, and growing the sport the right way. Wrestling teaches discipline, resilience, accountability, and confidence — and every kid deserves the chance to experience that.

Cynisca came to the Crushing Christmas Classic and LEFT with that
🔥 FIRST PLACE TITLE 🔥
3–0 and absolutely locked in from start to finish.

And Swayze?
She stepped in with Hawkeye Wrestling Academy, battled every match, went 3–2, and helped bring home 2ND PLACE AS A TEAM. That’s heart. That’s grit. That’s the storm in her veins. ⚡️

But the part people don’t see?
Maleya in the back hyping her sister, warming her up, fixing her braid, whispering the game plan.
And Jacob + Ryann holding it down like the BEST support squad in the world — keeping the vibes right, keeping the girls focused, and keeping the energy unmatched.

Today wasn’t just about medals.
It was about family, growth, and showing up for each other.
We’re blessed. We’re grateful. And we’re only getting started.

The storm is rolling… and it’s only getting louder. 🌪️🏆
