Changing tomorrow starts today!

I want to provide resources that will encourage and minister to ALL mothers! Are you looking for a homeschool curriculum that will provide an education taught from a Christian worldview helping to shape how your child sees the world? Are you looking for a homeschool curriculum that teaches the 'why' and 'how' to use the information they are learning, which helps them develop strong critical thinki

ng skills? Finally, are you looking for a curriculum that will provide a variety of hands-on and multi-sensory activities to engage your learner? "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth."

One of my favorite ways to use AI in our homeschool is creating anchor charts for vocabulary review!

These examples were made from our Spanish 1 and Physical Science lessons. Visual learners often benefit from seeing key vocabulary, definitions, and concepts organized on a single page.

AI can also turn these anchor charts into:
✅ Fill-in-the-blank worksheets
✅ Study guides
✅ Vocabulary practice
✅ Quiz questions

For subjects like Science and Spanish, it has been a great tool for helping students review and retain vocabulary.

Just remember—AI is a helpful assistant but always double-check for accuracy before using it with your students. 😉

One thing I’ve started doing over the years is creating a reading tracker for each of my kids.

I usually pre-fill the list with around 20 books I would like them to complete during the school year. If a book is above their reading level, I’ll make a note that they can either read it independently or listen to the audiobook version instead.

To help motivate them, we also set reading rewards. For every 25 books completed, they can earn something fun like:
✨ A LEGO set
✨ A manicure
✨ Extra spending money
✨ or another reward they choose

It has been a really fun way to encourage reading while also giving them some ownership over their goals. 😊

One thing that works well for our family is having a daily routine without trying to schedule every minute of the day.

The only set times we really have are that everyone is up by 7:45 and school starts by 8:30. Honestly, I usually have a couple kids up before then already working independently in Homeschool Hub because they know what needs to be done for the day. 😊

The kids choose the order they complete their courses, and we don’t really run our homeschool by the clock. We try to stay within reasonable time frames, but some days move quickly and some days… well… you know!😂

I usually check in with everyone mid-morning to see where they are and may adjust assignments depending on how much they’ve already completed. Then we regroup again around lunch to see what still needs to be finished for the day.

I also try to spend about 15–20 minutes daily with each child grading work, discussing subjects orally, checking for understanding, and correcting missed questions together. I’ve learned that those daily conversations matter a lot because sometimes a child can complete an assignment and still not fully understand the material… definitely learned that one the hard way.

Over the years I’ve realized that finding a rhythm for your family is often more important than trying to perfectly follow a clock every single day.

I keep track of the educational days we complete throughout the school year. Educational days don’t always have to mean traditional lessons at home. Field trips, co-op days, service projects, and other educational activities can count too.

This attendance sheet helps me keep track of each day and easily total them throughout the year.

A quick reminder for newer homeschool families: attendance records are not required in the state of Texas, but some states do require documentation. Be sure to check your individual state homeschool laws and requirements.

Summer Planning Series 😊I will be sharing the planning pages, calendars and organizational tools I use. These ideas aren't one-size-fits-all, but I hope they inspire you as you create a plan that works for your family.

The yearly calendar is usually the very first planning tool I put together for the upcoming school year.

I like adding our start and end dates, grading quarters, national holidays, co-op days, and any vacations or breaks we already know about ahead of time. Having everything mapped out early is a huge help when I start scheduling classes and organizing our lessons inside the Homeschool Hub.

It doesn’t make the year perfect, but it definitely helps our family stay more intentional and organized throughout the school year

One thing I like to do at the beginning of summer is customize a list like this for each one of my kids!

Their “Choose an Adventure” column is based on their own interests and hobbies, so every list looks a little different. It has been such a great tool for those days when we are home most of the day and I hear, “I’m bored!”

It gives them ideas for creative activities, helps encourage independence, and keeps a good balance of fun, learning, and responsibility during the summer months.

What would your child add to your kiddo's “Choose an Adventure” column? 👇

How many of these can your family check off this summer? ☀️ Because let’s be honest… if we don’t write it down, we’ll blink and it’ll be August 😅 Pick a few, keep it simple, and make some memories together 💛
