🏁 WELCOME, CVMA ROAD CREW! 🏁

The American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) is excited to welcome the Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association (CVMA) Road Crew to Buttonwillow Raceway Park – The Circuit this weekend!

The Road Crew will have a designated space in the paddock, so we encourage all AFM racers to stop by, say hello, and most importantly, thank them for making the trip and supporting our event.

One of the things we’re especially proud of this season is the concerted effort being made by West Coast motorcycle racing clubs to collaborate, support one another, and work together to strengthen our sport. Whether it’s reciprocal licensing, promoting each other’s events, or simply showing up to support another club, we’re all working toward the same goal: better racing and more opportunities for our members.

We’re proud to have CVMA joining us this weekend and appreciate their continued support of AFM and West Coast club racing.

If you see the CVMA Road Crew in the paddock, make sure you stop by and give them a warm AFM welcome!

TRACK-DAY-PROVIDER RELAY ENDURANCE RACE

We’ve also had some questions about Saturday’s Track-Day-Provider Relay Endurance Race, so here are the basics:

🏍️ 75-minute relay endurance race
🏍️ 3 motorcycles per team representing a track-day provider
🏍️ Teams are built around Lightweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight motorcycles, with alternate combinations allowed
🏍️ 1–3 riders per team β€” Novice and Expert racers can compete together
🏍️ One transponder per team, swapped between motorcycles during pit stops
🏍️ Only one team motorcycle is on track at a time
🏍️ The race starts on the larger bikes and progresses through the relay, finishing on the Lightweight bikes
🏍️ No refueling during the race
🏍️ The team completing the most laps in 75 minutes wins

RACERS FROM OTHER CLUBS ARE WELCOME!

You do not have to be a current AFM racer to join the fun. Racers from CVMA, CRA, UtahSBA/UtahSBK and other racing organizations can compete through AFM’s reciprocal license process. Eligible former AFM racers may also participate using a single-day license.

So if you have friends or teammates from another club who want to come race The Circuit with us, bring them out!

The goal of the relay is simple: a fun, competitive team race bringing together track-day providers, racers and different classes of motorcycles.

Get signed up and come join us at The Circuit this weekend!

🀠 WANTED...

The fastest track-day providers in the West.

Think your organization has what it takes to claim bragging rights? Saddle up for the AFM 2026 Track-Day-Provider Relay Endurance Race at Buttonwillow Raceway Park – The Circuit on August 29, 2026.

🏁 How does the AFM Track-Day-Provider Relay Endurance Race work?

It's simple (and fun)...

πŸ”Ή Each team represents a track-day provider (doesn't have to be a track-day provider staff member, you can form a team and represent the TDP you're loyal to!).
πŸ”Ή Teams race for 75 minutes with one motorcycle on track at a time.
πŸ”Ή Every team must complete the relay using three classes of motorcycles:
🏍️ Heavyweight β†’ 🏍️ Middleweight β†’ 🏍️ Lightweight
πŸ”Ή Each team may use 1–3 riders, with rider changes happening during the scheduled bike swaps.
πŸ”Ή The race begins with the heavyweight bike, changes to the middleweight at one-third distance, and finishes on the lightweight.
πŸ”Ή No refuelingβ€”bikes will share a transponder as the relay team-baton.
πŸ”Ή The winner is the team that completes the most laps when the checkered flag falls.

This isn't just about having the fastest riderβ€”it's about putting together the best team. Speed, reliability, pit strategy, and teamwork will determine who earns the bragging rights as the fastest track-day provider.

Round up your riders, represent your track-day organization, and settle the score on the racetrack.

Who will ride away with the glory?
