Sunday race recap. We started almost dead last in a field of ,I think , more than 30 cars, due to a technical issue with power to the streaming equipment. During the first 2hr stint, with good pace, early attrition and out of sync pit stops, we had reached second place. With about 15 minutes to go we had a lengthy red flag stoppage. This meant, as soon as we went back to racing, every team on a two hour strategy had to come in at the same time. We came out of the pit stop in fifth and stayed there most of the rest of the day. We were able to move up to fourth in the final stint but with around an hour go,the car suddenly changed. The muffler basically blew up. Left big bundles of fiberglass packing all over turn one. Besides being really loud, it lost a fair amount of power. Running about 10 seconds a lap slower than our normal pace, we were able to hold on to 4th. Managed to cross the checkers side by side with Gray Cloud Racing 2.0. Then, the next bit of excitement. Once the air flow stopped through the back of the car, it caught fire coming back into the paddock. No damage though and quick action extinguished things.
