A great video about LeMons racing (by some fellow teams up in the Bay Area).

We really hope to get the RX back into it for 2016. A new engine and a set of gauges.

We get mentioned for our Junkyard-NA-To-Turbo Engine build at the Utah Race. There is also a huge listing of other exciting car builds from 24 Hours of LeMons.

As for 2015, we are not sure when we will be racing. The RX's new home is in Long Beach and we have quite the backlog of work on getting it ready for a race again but we are hoping with a little luck to maybe make a late 2015 race. Good luck to all the racers in 2015!

The 2014 season of the 24 Hours of LeMons was the best one yet, with 20 races all over the country, the world-record largest endurance road race in history (the Guinness folks just declared it as the official record holder), floods, ice, pitch darkness, and—of course—the greatest crop of new-to-the-…

Finished unpacking, returning trailer. I know that Eileen and Stephen are still driving down to LA.

It was a successful weekend. We placed 132 out of 230+ cars. The RX held up to all the abuse though pulling it off the trailer I found the brakes were on their last legs. I think the hardest part was just being a 2-man team (with Eileen for moral support) in the hot hot sun. Nevertheless, our 10th race, and our 4th race with the RX, and we made it. We are also a part of the Guinness World Records for most cars in a race.

But we will now be taking a break from LeMons racing. I think we need to do some long-term work on the car and some of our racers are busy with moving locations or traveling. We might be arrive-and-drives for other teams, who knows.

Well first day is is done! First Saturday in 4 races that we drove the RX the whole day (kinda). It is hot, and the car is making all sorts of sounds and noises and I am sure we are losing a turbo or transmissions mount but it is keeping cool and we are running as fast as can be. Here is hoping to tomorrow that we can finish strong.

The new addition to Thunderhill is very technical and punishes you for failing at some tricky turns by having hills right after them, but it is a nice addition.

So it is hard to see with a Race Monitor down but we are turning laps! Yes, we didn't start on time and yes we only have passed maybe 4 cars, but we are marching along with the underpowered engine and clunk - filled suspension!

This is a connector that goes to a relay for the cut off switch. Going to take pat about an hour to fix.

So we are here at Thunderhill along with some 240+ other cars (a world record). We are a major unknown due to our junkyard motor. Judge Phil put us in C class with 0 BS laps and suggested we should get Factory Sponsorship from Subaru.
