If you want to see The Homer race for the last time (I mean it!) and watch a race at Laguna Seca (a scenic world class track) for FREE, spectator tickets for The 24 Hours of Lemons are $0! You just need to register in advance. Link in comments.

It’s a special 1 day race on Monday, October 12. There will be a “curated” group of crazy race cars that we were lucky to be selected for. It should be a great time. Hope to see you there!

The Homer is coming out of retirement (again)!

The 24 Hours of Lemons announced a special 20th anniversary race at Laguna Seca Raceway - a legendary race track which is normally too nice for cars like ours - in October, and FOMO got the best of me so I applied. 360+ teams entered and we were one of 45 who got in!

Now it’s time to get back to work and bring the car out of mothballs. First to address the important things: After 13 years and thousands of miles, sometimes at 100+ MPH or at high G-forces, Bart and Lisa’s soundproof dome is falling apart.

Thankfully we have some blemished spares from 2013 in the attic which are in better shape that what we have, so Dome 2.0 will be starting soon!

A friend of our team flew out and took some awesome photos of our last race at Thunderhill few weeks ago, including us and lots of other teams. Check it out!

This was the final race for The Homer. Preparing for the race is a ton of work, parts for the car are getting expensive and harder to find, and managing the team at the race has become more stressful than fun, so we've decided to retire it from the racetrack. Not sure what the future holds for the car. I'd love to keep it but it's hard dealing with a car that isn't street legal.

25:01 of Thunderhill finished!

The most grueling of races, and we’re all exhausted but had a good amount of fun amongst the extraordinary amount of work it takes to race a car for 25 hours in 100°+ weather.
