Fireweed is a measure of time, similar to an hour glass in regards to the summer. This time of year, with sunsets returning and fireweed blooming to its top I feel fall is just around the corner, then the darkness of winter sets in for several months.

Today was spent with the coaches

The assistant coaches, Karma and Jasper, had fun in the fresh snow today! Their primary jobs are to check every bowl and make sure its licked clean, then they make sure everyone is very aware they have the run of the place, lastly they make sure the musher has their pillows fluffed and the beds warmed up!
