Road trip! George and I made the trip to Skagway this past weekend to pick up the dogs.
So great to see their happy faces!
We had our team plus some of Juliah Deloach’s and one of Hannah Holden’s that filled out the team. ( check out the previous post to see the dogs in action at their summer gig )
The drive is over 800 miles one way and the scenery is beautiful. The road is rough. Not the whole way, but quite a bit. We hit a little snow on the way home, but not much.
Nice to have everybody back home and ready to jump into fall training 🐾

Happy 13th birthday to the dog yard boss, Sterling! Although she's been retired for a few years, Sterling still is in charge and makes sure the sled dogs are behaving. Happy Birthday, gorgeous! We love you and appreciate your hard work at maintaining order.

Yesterday we cleaned out all of the wet straw from the dog houses. The recent warm weather and rain has made everything a mess! The pups were literally jumping right in to help us!
