The sages of Kabbalah follow a Lunisolar calendar which follows both solar and lunar cycles

The new moon
Rosh Chodesh ראש חודש

means head of the month and signifies the entering into a new gate, which here is Cancer ♋️

This is one of the differences between Kabbalistic Astrology and Tropical/Western Astrology

Happy Moonday 🌙

Just as the moon doesn't illuminate on her own without the sun, we too have no light without the Creator

We have been given the greatest teacher within

Our ego — the inner opponent
Always challenging us – do we sink or swim?

Do we fall for its trickery – do we recognize its cunning ability to be a step ahead and lure us away from the light?

As we grow, even spiritually, so does our ego
We must know its form and flavor to become victorious

In doing so, our vessel strengthens and we receive more light- more joy - more love - more wealth- more of all that our soul came here to create

At the end of the day, thats what its about
No amount of money, relationships or success will truly satisfy the souls desire to be the soul it came here to be

Only by knowing our inner world can we create a more beautiful outer world

On this Moonday, ask yourself
Who did my soul come here to be?
Am I reflecting the light of the Creator or responding to the whims of my ego?

Often when we face difficulty we pray something along the lines of "God, please make this pain go away"

The sages teach us that its more beneficial for us to pray differently

If we can see that everything – even/especially our challenges are good, because all that comes from the Creator is ultimately good then our prayer changes from take this from me to...

Let me see the good even here... a concept called zu l'tova" – This, too, is for the good

This roots us in faith, in certainty and allows the light to be revealed to us while strengthening our vessels capacity to hold more light

Remember, life is a curriculum – the map and teachings Kabbalah offers help us pass the tests and advance spiritually
