Our horse community has lost a young woman with so much love, talent, heart, and life still ahead of her.

I did not know Emily personally, but it only takes a few moments of reading the words shared by her friends and family to understand that she was deeply treasured—a kind spirit with so much to give.

When our horse community experiences a tragic loss like this, it shakes all of us. Even when we didn't know the person, we understand the connection to horses, the risks we accept, and how quickly something we love so deeply can change everything.

I'd like to ask... Over the next few days, I hope you'll join me in taking one collective breath together as horse people. Go stand beside your horse or sit in the saddle.... take a moment and send your love, prayers, strength, or whatever feels right to Emily and especially to the family and friends who loved her.

May they feel an entire horse community standing quietly beside them. 🤎
