We started our Sunday of summer session 2 playoffs weather watching in hopes the day would be rain free and for the most part it was thankfully. In D2 after some exciting early round PK shootouts FC Blue regained their winning ways over 3 Gen 5-2 and the D2 Championship.

In D5 Hinesburgers one of only 2 #1 seeds to make it to the finals and actually win the championship but it wasn’t easy as County Friends FC battled to the very last second before losing 2-1.

Oil Changes in D1 were bridesmaids last session but not today as they won a well played game against Wallflower Wanderers 3-2 and the Session 2 Championship.

In the D3 finals it was #6 Cool Runnings vs. #8 Red Card Rebels defeating all higher seeds on their way to the championship where Cool Runnings prevailed 3-0.

It took until almost 7pm and a day of dodging rain drops to finally finish up Summer Session 2 playoffs with the Spartans winning the D4 championship over Carpet Bombers who made a solid run from the #7 seed.

Bringing your friends together for a summer of Thursday night soccer paid huge dividends for Follow the Chune claiming their 1st D1 championship over Team Beta 3-0 and hopefully not their last.

The 2026 Thursday night league finished with an exciting penalty shootout in D2 between Ballbusters & Ducks in a Pond after a 0-0 tie in regulation. Ballbusters won 3-0 and the championship.
