EDGE Swim Club The EDGE Swim Club (EDGE) is the premier swim program in northern Vermont and New England. www.edgeswim.com

1999 Vermont Area Swim Team (VAST), is reconfigured to be owned by the EDGE and renamed as the EDGE Swim Club. The EDGE becomes members of the CVSL (Champlain Valley Swim League). EDGE receives CVSL Most Improved by the end of the season

2001 The EDGE joins New England and USA Swimming

2009 The EDGE begins the first season of their USA swimming summer long course program

2013 The EDGE has it's

first undefeated CVSL season, going 7-0, claiming the Most Improved team award, the League Best Record award, and head coach Caleb Hall-Potvin taking the CVSL Golden Whistle award.

2014 The EDGE wins its first league and state titles

2015 The EDGE wins the league and state title

2016 The EDGE wins the league and state title

2 weekends in a row of long course racing! Our team crushed it this weekend at Beverly, MA! Growth doesn’t always come from comfortable races: it comes from stepping up to tough event lineups, trying new events, and pushing through challenges. This part of the season is about testing limits, persevering through hard moments, and learning with every swim as we continue to grow. We’re embracing the process and heading into a strong training block with purpose, confidence, and momentum. Let’s Go EDGE!

We had so much fun at our first Long Course meet of the season! We raced at MIT this weekend. In the middle of some really hard training we raced hard, focused on the details, had awesome effort, and had great mindsets! Many of us swam new events for the first time, earned best times and earned in season best times! 6 year old Lucas Neaga was the youngest athlete in the meet, the only 6 year old, and he raced the 100bk and 100fr for the first time ever, way to go Lucas! Let’s go EDGE!

And that’s a wrap on USA Swimming Sectionals! Nora Tatro, Finn Shonstrom, and Emma Main wrapped up their short course career with the EDGE! Emma and Finn qualified for finals in the 200bk today, and qualified for finals in all backstroke events this weekend, Aiden Boyle qualified for finals for all of his events this weekend, and Abigail Jackman qualified for finals in all of her events including A final in the 50Br tonight! All of our athletes earned at least 1 best time and we had so much fun with our men’s relays! Awesome job EDGE!

Day 2 of Eastern Zone Sectionals and all of our athletes qualified for finals! And then in finals, everyone improved from their prelims swim! Congrats to Drew for earning another AG cut in his lead off in the relay and a big PB in his 200Fr time trial and congrats to Nora who also earned a 100bk PB in her time trial and earned her first LC Seniors cut! We are so proud of our toughness and perseverance! Let’s go EDGE!

Day 1 of Ithaca USA Swimming Sectionals for the EDGE! Abby, Aiden, and Emma all had B final swims tonight and Finn also swam in finals! Abby requalified for USA Swimming Futures Championships for the 100breast and James hit a Senior cut in the 100breast! We kicked off time trials, and had lots of fun We are so excited for relays tomorrow! Let’s Go EDGE!
