Ben Askren revolutionized wrestling with his unconventional “funk” style, winning two NCAA championships, two Dan Hodge Trophies, and earning a place on the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team. After later capturing world titles in Bellator and ONE Championship, Askren survived a life-threatening illness and double-lung transplant. His inspiring 2026 return for one final match demonstrated the toughness and determination that defined his remarkable career.

The Peterson brothers made Olympic history like no siblings before them. Ben won Olympic gold in 1972 while John earned silver. Then four years later, they reversed roles with John capturing gold and Ben taking silver. Together, they became two of America's greatest freestyle wrestlers, combining four Olympic medals, multiple NCAA and international titles, and a legacy that continues to inspire generations through coaching and the Camp of Champs.
