We want to highlight Coach Gilmore
( DeJanae Gilmore ) today. She has been hired as our new Elite Director at AirBorne Volleyball. She was a standout volleyball athlete at Sam Houston State and has been coaching high school volleyball for a number of years. She has just taken the head coaching position at New Waverly High School ( New Waverly Athletics ) Coach Gilmore leads our elite athletes as they transition to school and club volleyball. She is also a head coach with our partners at Texas Diamonds Volleyball
Coach Gilmore graduated from Willis High School and continues to give back to this community. We are so blessed to have her on court investing into the lives of the next generation of volleyball athletes.
Help me congratulate Coach Gilmore on her new position as head coach at New Waverly and thank her for all she does at AirBorne for our young athletes 🩷🏐

Our 2026 Spring Family & Awards night is in the books. Congrats to all our team MVP’s, most improved and Jessica Faith Bostwick Character Award winners. Once a year during our Spring Session Awards we honor the memory of Jessica Faith Bostwick.
We choose one athlete from each age division/ training group who shows great character on and off the court. We notice how they are kind to their teammates and respectful to their parents and coaches. The recipients of this award are always humbled and overwhelmed that they were chosen which also says a lot about their character.

1 Timothy 4:12: "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."
