The Brabham Track team closed out their season last week at the District Track Meet and several Bobkats came home with medals and ribbons!
The 7th grade girls 1600 meter relay, ran by Shealeigh Arnaud, Teagan Bernal, Sophia Peoples, and Ashlynn Bearden, finished in 6th place. Shealeigh
Arnaud also placed second in discus, Teagan Bernal placed 4th in both pole vault and long jump, and Ma'Lon Griffin finished first in long jump, high jump, the 200 meter dash and the 400 meter dash. Overall the 7th grade girls finished in 4th place!
The 7th grade boys also had some individual wins with Hobbs finishing 5th in discus, and Finney finishing 6th in discus, 1st in the 100 meter dash, and 2nd in the 200 meter dash.
The 8th grade girls team placed in several events as well! Landry Warden placed 5th in discus, Lyric Dominique placed 4th in shot put, Brinlee Morris placed 1st in pole vault, and Ryleigh Whiddon placed 5th in the 400 meter dash. They also placed in 2 relays! The 800 meter relay ran by Brinlee Morris, Kail Rose Traylor, Emileigh Whiddon, and Ryleigh whiddon finished in 6th place, and the 1600 meter relay ran by Brinlee Morris, Anaely Rojero, Kail Rose Traylor, and Emileigh Whiddon finished in 4th place! Overall the team finished in 6th place.
