Locked in Baby! One of my favorite exercises is trap bar deadlift. This bar can be used for various exercises and can benefit general pop clients and athletes working toward peak performance.
-This deadlift focuses on the anterior section of you legs as it mostly engages the quad muscles. (Although it does provide a healthy ROM for your hips and integrates your glute muscles at the top of the movement.
- The neutral grip and the distribution of weight on the bar aids in making this deadlift variation an option with lower injury risk compared to a traditional deadlift.
- This May also be a better option when working on explosiveness through a hip hinge. Depending on the variations you use you can switch up the exercise, lighten the load and really strengthen your lower half in this power position.
