📢 Are You Training at the Right Distance?

According to the article “What’s the Best Distance to Practice At for Self-Defense?” on MultiBriefs, most shooters are training at distances that don’t reflect real-world self-defense scenarios. 😱

Here’s what you need to know:

🔑 Key Fact:
The vast majority of self-defense encounters happen within 7 yards (21 feet) or less. These are close-quarters situations where reaction time and accuracy under stress matter most.

💡 Common Misconception:
Many shooters spend time much of there time practicing at distances of 15-25 yards or more. While this builds good marksmanship, it’s not preparing you for the realities of defending yourself in a high-stress, close-range confrontation.

✅ Why Close-Range Training Matters:

➡️ Real-life encounters are FAST: The attacker is often within steps of you before you even draw your firearm.
➡️ You need practical accuracy: Precision at 25 yards won’t help if you can’t quickly and accurately hit your target at 5-7 yards.
