Michigan Youth Bass Fishing Association
Formed in 2021 by parents of two Michigan Youth Anglers. Sanctioned by the national organization, The Bass Federation (TBF)

WHY: To bring fishing opportunities to youth anglers around the state. To get youth involved to experience the joy of fishing and being outdoors. To create a fishing environment where everyone has fun while fishing and enjoys camaraderie with other youth anglers. A “Fishing Family” atmosphere.

WHAT WE OFFER: Each season offering a tournament series at lakes all over the state for HS and Junior Anglers that offers advancement opportunities to TBF National Tournaments.✅

Hosting each year, a free community fishing event “Get Hooked On Fishing “ a fun filled day of fishing, games, contests, food, prizes.✅

Our volunteer Youth/Tournament Directors and awesome volunteers are also involved in running the SAF MI HS State Championship and MI TBF JR State Championship each season. A one day qualifier offering advancement to TBF National events.

HOW: Brought by awesome volunteers that give their time to bring these fishing events to Michigan youth anglers.

Any youth (not just Williamston) can fish these tournaments. Same for the Michigan Youth Bass Fishing Association. Great fun!!

For anyone interested in fishing the Tuesday night M-59 US-23 Youth Fishing League here is the schedule. You will need to go to their fb page to get the waiver and rules, pay the $25 registration fee, then pay the tournament fee each Tuesday at the launch. anyone 18 & under can fish with an adult boat captain. Message me with any questions.

Unfortunately, Gun Lake is graduation weekend for us. I encourage others to sign up. It's great memory building fun! They do all grades including the Jr series, high school, and 2023 grads. Still only $25/angler to register.
