Washington County Girls Softball League WCGSL is a Girl Softball League for grades K-12. About The League:
We have four different divisions of fast pitch.

Our Mission
Washington County Girls Softball League is a non-profit organization committed to providing young ladies (grades Kindergarten to 12th) in Washington County Maryland and surrounding counties and area the opportunity to play fast-pitch softball in an organized environment. Program goals are to teach girls the fundamentals of softball while promoting good sportsmanship and encouraging exe

rcise and citizenship that remain with them for years to come." Elementary School Division [Kindergarten -2nd]
-introduction to softball and begin to teach the fundamentals

Elementary School Division [3rd -5th grade] -Where the fundamentals are taught. Middle School Division - Where the fundamentals are practiced and to get the girls ready for high school competition if they choose to play on the school teams. High School Division - Where the girls get to play, whether a player on their school's high school team or just to play.

First practice for a couple of the teams last night! So awesome to see all the smiling faces, hearing the players get right back into the "Swing"😉 of things! One of our girls even told me "as hot as it is, I'm back and it feels like I'm home!" Man that felt good to hear! That was from a 10 yr old by the way! Things like that make us happy that you and your player’s have chosen WCGSL!

This league is for learning and development and just because we are different team colors doesn't mean we have color wars, we are not a Gang.
Parents and Coaches.... please dont make this about you or your team, this is about the players growing to LOVE the sport that we all have come to love and enjoy watching! ✌️❤️🥎 🥎

The bridge is open!!! I know all of our Clear Spring players and families are so excited!

Exciting news! The US 40 Bridge over Conococheague Creek bridge rehabilitation project is reopening the bridge and removing the US 40 detour on Friday, August 14! That’s right traffic will be able to return to the bridge! It is expected to be open for traffic by mid-day. The historic bridge needed a new bridge deck, parapet walls, and bridge support columns. That work has been completed. More good news will come when the kayak launch improvement is completed!

Thanks to the outstanding efforts of our SHA partner Kokosing Construction Company, Inc and the support and patience of the community the bridge will be opening a week earlier than expected.
