A little belated, but certainly worth celebrating! Congratulations to Jaslin Shand, a senior at Williamsport Area High School, who was crowned Journey Bank’s Teen Star in April! 🎤🔴⚪🎩

Jaslin impressed the judges with her beautiful performances of “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri and “Hold My Hand” by Lady Gaga. Her natural stage presence and ability to draw the audience into each song helped carry her all the way to the WIN!

On Friday, Loni Kline, Chief Growth Officer of Journey Bank, presented Jaslin with the traveling Teen Star trophy, alongside Sam Robinson, Director of Choirs; Megan Louder, choir director; and Lauren Reeder, drama teacher at Williamsport Area High School.

We are so of you, Jaslin! Thank you for representing WASD! 🔴⚪🎊

What better way to start the week than by appreciating some Millionaire artwork! 🎨🔴⚪🎩

This week is National Arts in Education Week, and we’re celebrating by highlighting some of the incredible work created by our talented students.

We are so grateful for our amazing art department and our supportive community for providing opportunities that allow our students to flourish creatively, explore their talents, and express themselves through art.

Can’t make it to tonight’s game? No problem! Here’s a little nostalgia for your Friday night scroll. 🏈

Last Friday at the WAHS football home opener, we had the honor of recognizing members and coaches from the 1986 Eastern Football Conference Championship Team at halftime.

Fun Fact: In 1986, the PIAA did not sponsor a state championship in football, making the Eastern Conference Championship the pinnacle of achievement for teams at the time. The Millionaires finished the season 12-1, defeating Mount Carmel Area, 38-0, to claim the championship.

Over 13 games, the Millionaires outscored their opponents 423-115, averaging 32.5 points per game while allowing just 8.8 points per contest. What a season!

Please join us in celebrating the 1986 team and honoring their incredible accomplishments. Thank you for inspiring our next generation of CHAMPIONS! We are always ! 🎩🏈🔴⚪
