The West Branch Valley Sports Hall of Fame ballot is finalized and will hit the mail tomorrow. An outstanding group of 14 honorees, including 10 living inductees, two deceased inductee and two Volunteers of the Year will be honored at the West Branch Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame during the annual Hall of Fame banquet at the Genetti Hotel & Suites in Williamsport, on Sunday night, Nov. 9.

The induction class includes inductees: Lon Balum, Darrell Blackman, Kathy Fedorjaka, Chris Howard, Melissa Kellogg, Shawn Kunes, Dan Merk, Brycen Mussina, Joe Person, Kayla (Kline) Zimmerman, Blaise Alexander (posthumously) and Floyd “Lanny” Reed (posthumously) and the Volunteers of the Year are Bob Cellini and K***h Chu. Rachel (Houseknecht) Anderson and Hannah (Allison) Harris were selected for induction, but can not attend. Their induction will be held during the 2026 ceremony.

When making reservations, it is requested that you send attendees full name (please print or type legibly) as well as a contact person and phone number in case of questions. Each table seats no more than eight individuals, so please keep that in mind if making reservations for a group larger than eight. It is also requested that you notify us of what inductee you are there to see and choose an entrée – either stuffed chicken, gluten-free chicken or cheese ravioli ratatouille.

The deadline for registration for the banquet is Monday, Oct. 27.

PITTSBURGH — Winfield’s Steve Kline and Williamsport’s Gary Brown are among the 12-member 2025 induction class for the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.

Mifflinburg and Lycoming's Kayla (Kline) Zimmerman is on the 2025 West Branch Valley Sports Hall of Fame ballot, which hits mailboxes this week.

Mifflinburg Area H.S./Lycoming College - Basketball/Softball/Field Hockey
The second woman at Lycoming to earn first-team all-conference honors in two sports in the same season (2019) ... finished her basketball career 11th with 1,026 points while playing just 79 games ... in softball, hit a school-record .457 in career and set record with 193 total bases while playing in 82 games ... a third-team all-state selection in basketball at Mifflinburg Area (2015) … set school-record with 1,211 points, since surpassed … a two-time all-state selection in softball (2015, '16) … holds school’s career records with .433 batting average, 140 hits, 22 doubles, 10 triples and 15 home runs … helped Wildcats to district titles in both basketball and softball in 2014 … a two-time all-league selection in field hockey … a two-time Punt, Pass and Kick national champion (2012, 2013).
