Aerialists aren't fearless.

It's incredibly special to be a part of a student's journey in facing and overcoming their fears. Yes, in aerial and in life, scary things will keep popping up. Anxiety happens. That's life, and it's normal.

You identify it. You minimize it. You overcome it.

And when you do the thing, you realize...hey...that wasn't so bad! And then you move on to the next terrifying thing.

This is Yvette. Yvette is one of my newer adult aerial students, and I've loved being a part of her journey. I love seeing her climb and scream her way through a gazelle 🤣 but you know what...she lived...she climbed up, did a footlock, and successfully performed a gazelle on the silks. And I can see the pride she wears on her face when she achieves these skills. That makes it all worth it.

It's more than teaching a cool physical activity. It's about helping people become a little more fearless!

One of my favorite things about small classes and private instruction is being able to meet the students where they are.

You're always pushing for progress, but your starting point with each student is always a little bit different.

And then they hit a point more or less 6 months later oftentimes that unlocks a new version of themselves and a new starting point as things tend to "click."

I love being on that ride with my students.

So, how's it going with our Adult Program students, you might ask...

One did her very first successful and controlled wall kickup.

Four climbed higher and smoother than they ever did before.

Another grew muscles she swore she was physically unable to grow and discovered she can now do FIVE pull-ups when she couldn't do a single one in her whole life.

Another gained confidence in her S-wraps and is on her way to some amazing wheeldowns.

And they have their next week booked with me to take yet another great step forward in their aerial and hanbalancing journeys.

If you want to do things you didn't even think you could do, you're just one message away! In the meantime, I'll be here helping these ladies unlock their fullest potential!
