SWARM CENTER | WEEK 3 RECAP
WILLIAMSBURG — Week 3 is in the books, and the biggest headline belongs to the Queen Bees.
Three weeks into the season, BOTH Williamsburg Girls Flag teams remain undefeated.
The 10U Queen Bees put together a huge team performance with 401 total yards, 45 flags pulled, four interceptions and nine touchdowns. Zaelyn Burks broke loose for two 40-plus-yard runs and scored twice. Emani Morton added an interception and touchdown, while Runiyah Todd recorded 25 passing yards, an interception and a touchdown.
The 14U Queen Bees kept their streak alive, too. Defensive MVP Teagan Daniels finished with three pass breakups and an interception, while Offensive MVP Torahji Evans scored two touchdowns and an extra point.
Two teams. Two more wins. Two undefeated records. Now the Queen Bees bring that momentum back to The Hive.
6U Flag added another win, taking down East End 13-6. Maddox Calhoun powered the offense with two 40-yard touchdowns, while Duke Compton and Kaiden Bradsby helped lead a defense that allowed just six points.
At 8U, Derrell Jones Jr. earned Offensive MVP after fighting through contact and battling for every yard. Defensive MVP Tyler Keesee made his presence felt at nose guard with a tackle for loss and forced fumble.
Then came the rain.
10U battled through a torrential downpour, with Myles Brown rushing for 100-plus yards and a touchdown. Amari Gray recovered an onside kick, while Mason Horn delivered a textbook solo tackle for loss.
12U faced a tough opponent and fought until the end. By Monday, they were already back at work, ready to learn, grow and get better.
And through it all, the Honey Bees kept The Swarm loud. A special shoutout goes to our 10U/12U Honey Bees, who cheered their hearts out through the pouring rain.
The Week 3 headline: Two undefeated Queen Bees teams, another 6U win and a Swarm that battled through the storm.
Now, everybody comes home.
