🚗🧽 HORNETS CAR WASH FUNDRAISER 🧽🚗

The Williamsburg Hornets are excited to announce our upcoming Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, June 27, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Shorty’s Diner in Williamsburg!

This fundraiser will help support our Hornets Scholarship Fund and ensure every child has the opportunity to participate. This season, more than 1 out of every 8 Hornets athletes is receiving financial assistance through our scholarship program.

A HUGE thank you to Tommy’s Express Car Wash for sponsoring this event! Tommy’s Express is proud to support the young athletes, coaches, and families who make our community special. Their commitment to youth sports reflects the values we teach every day—teamwork, discipline, accountability, and personal growth.

Tommy’s newest location in Yorktown is currently under construction and is scheduled to open on August 14, 2026. We appreciate their investment in local youth athletics and their commitment to being an active community partner for years to come.

We would also like to thank Shorty’s Diner for partnering with us and providing the location for this fundraiser. Community partnerships like these help make opportunities for local kids possible, and we are incredibly grateful for their support.

🐝 HORNETS CHEER NEEDS YOU! 🐝

As we get closer to the start of the season, we have an important need within our cheer program.

We are currently looking for 2-3 additional coaches for our 10U/12U cheer teams.

Before you scroll past because you've never coached cheer before, hear us out...

You do NOT need cheer experience.

We can teach cheers, motions, sidelines, and routines. What we can't teach is reliability, positivity, and a genuine desire to help kids grow. That's what we're looking for.

Maybe you're:
📣 A parent who wants to be more involved
📣 A football parent with some extra time during practices
📣 A Team Mom looking to take on a bigger role
📣 Someone who loves working with kids and wants to make a difference

Our cheer program continues to grow every year, but growth is only possible when we have enough coaches to support our athletes.

Here's something else to consider: the number of cheerleaders we can roster is directly impacted by the number of coaches we have available. More coaches means we can support more athletes and potentially open additional roster spots across our cheer program.

While our biggest need is currently at the 10U/12U level, we are always looking for coaches for our 6U and 8U squads as well.

Please help us welcome Coach T as the Head Coach of our 10U Queen Bees Girls Flag Football Team for the 2026 season! 👑💚💖

Coach T is a proud Hornets parent, family man, and someone who is passionate about helping youth succeed. After years of watching his children compete for the Hornets, he's ready to step onto the field and help lead the next chapter of Hornets football as we launch our very first girls flag football program. He also brings experience from his days playing football at the high school level.

When asked what inspired him to coach, Coach T said he was inspired by seeing other coaches make a positive impact on kids' lives. His favorite part of coaching is helping young athletes build confidence and overcome fears.

And if you've talked to Coach T, you've probably heard him say it:

🔥 "I've got the blueprint." 🔥

He's bringing energy, confidence, and a winning mindset to the Queen Bees this season.

🏆 "My plans are to bring a championship to the Hornets."

But for Coach T, success is about more than wins and losses. One of his proudest moments is seeing kids overcome challenges and accomplish things they never thought possible.

What stood out most to us is his commitment to helping young people. Outside of football, Coach T teaches incarcerated teens how to play chess, helping them develop discipline, patience, and critical thinking skills.

To any girl thinking about joining the Queen Bees, Coach T has a simple message:

💖 "You will do well and learn a lot to use off the field and on the field."

The blueprint is ready.

And Coach T is ready to get to work.

It's almost time for football and cheer season, and we cannot wait to see everyone back on the field and sidelines!

🚨 ROSTERS ARE ALMOST FULL! 🚨

Current remaining spots:
• 1 spot - 6U Cheer
• 6 spots - 10U Girls Flag
• 5 spots - 14U Girls Flag
• 7 spots - 12U Tackle Football

Know someone interested? Have them register ASAP before these final spots are gone & we encourage you to still sign up for our waitlist!

🏈 GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID REQUIRED

All athletes must have a government-issued ID to participate in games this season.

Accepted forms:
• DMV-issued ID Card (Preferred)
• Passport
• Military ID

Athletes cannot play in games without an approved ID. DMV appointments can take several weeks, so schedule yours as soon as possible.

Parents must remain at the fields during conditioning and practices. Please bring a lawn chair. No alcohol, smoking, or va**ng is permitted.

The countdown is on! Registration for Williamsburg Hornets Girls Flag Football will be closing in just a few weeks, and roster spots are filling quickly.

We know many of our future players are still finishing up other sports, leagues, and summer activities. That’s why we’re encouraging families to register now and secure their spot for the fall before registration closes.

We also understand that every family’s situation is different. Payment plans are available, and we can work with families on a case-by-case basis. If cost is a concern, please reach out—we’re here to help.

The countdown to the 2026 season is on, but before we can officially kick off our cheer season, we need a few more coaches to join the Hive!

We are currently looking for:

📣 6U Cheer
• 1 Assistant Coach (18+) OR Junior Coach (15+)

📣 10U/12U Cheer
• 2 Assistant Coaches (18+)

The Williamsburg Hornets Cheer Program continues to grow, and these positions are critical to getting our squads on the field this season. If you've ever thought about giving back to the community, mentoring young athletes, or being part of something special, now is the time.

What to expect:
