🌲James City County is proud to work with the Virginia Department of Forestry to offer an acorn collection station now through October 11. These acorns and nuts are important for producing next year's seedling crop and Virginia's future forests!

Please note:
➡Drop off dry acorns and nuts in paper or burlap bags (no plastic bags!)
➡Minimize extra debris, including sticks, gravel, trash, etc.
➡If you don't know the species, leave a leaf in the bag with your acorns
➡Do not mix species in the same bag

Drop-off location is located the James City County Recreation Center (5301 Longhill Rd.) during regular operating hours. Contact [email protected] or phone 757-603-6067 for questions.
