Championship golf deserves a fitting prize.

Earlier this week, Golden Horseshoe Golf Club hosted the PGA Professional Championship – Middle Atlantic Section, welcoming the region’s leading PGA Professionals to Williamsburg.

At Colonial Williamsburg, fine silversmithing is part of the tradition—and, for those familiar with our clubhouse, a familiar sight. This week, that tradition extended to the trophy awaiting the champion.

One year. One under. 26 in ’26. ⛳

The Shoe has reached its 1-Year Anniversary as of this month—and we’re celebrating with a challenge worthy of 2026.

Our 9-hole par-3 course is a brilliant Rees Jones design that rewards accuracy, strategy and a confident short game. With a par of 27, breaking par means posting a 26.

So, one year after opening—and during Colonial Williamsburg’s 100th anniversary year—we want to know:

Do you know a junior golfer who would love to spend a few summer mornings learning the game at Golden Horseshoe?

Our Golden Horseshoe Junior Golf Camp returns August 18–21, 2026, and registration is open to junior golfers ages 8–15 of all skill levels.

This fun and informative program will be led by our club golf professionals and designed to help young players build confidence, learn proper fundamentals, and enjoy the game in a welcoming setting.

Camp instruction will include:
- Rules and etiquette of golf
- Fundamentals of the golf swing
- Use of short and long irons and woods
- Short game techniques, including pitching, chipping, and putting

The camp will take place each day from 9:00–11:00 AM at the Golden Horseshoe Green Course, located at 651 S. England Street.

Golden Horseshoe Junior Golf Camp
- August 18–21, 2026
- 9:00–11:00 AM
- $195 per child
- Open to ages 8–15

Whether your junior golfer is brand new to the game or looking to sharpen their skills, this is a great opportunity to learn from Golden Horseshoe golf professionals and have fun on the course this summer.
