In Loving Memory of Paul Adelbert Lewis 🤍

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Paul Lewis, one of the founders of Bar ALE and our family.

For those who may not know how Bar ALE began, Paul started the company alongside his father-in-law, Heimi Ash. Together, they built something rooted in hard work, a love for agriculture, and a genuine commitment to the people and communities they served.

But, Paul was so much more than the business he helped build.

He was a proud Korean War veteran, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved flying airplanes, collecting classic cars, and playing his accordion. He had a big personality, a love for life, and a way of leaving an impression on the people around him.

When you look at Bar ALE today, you see the products, the stores, and the places we’ve grown to serve. But behind all of that is a family and generations of people who have poured their hearts into making this company what it is.

Paul helped start that story.

Today, his son, Tracy Lewis, and Tracy’s children continue to carry that legacy forward. What began here in Northern California has grown to serve families and communities across California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Hawaii, Alaska, and beyond.

And while we are incredibly proud of how far Bar ALE has come, what means the most is knowing that the heart of this company has never changed.

It’s still about family. It’s still about relationships. And it’s still about taking care of the people who put their trust in us.

As we say goodbye to Paul, we can’t help but feel grateful. Grateful for the life he lived, for the family he raised, and for the opportunity to continue something he helped create so many years ago.

We hope we continue to make him proud. Your story will always be part of ours. 🤍
