Job Title: Pro Shop Attendant - Part Time
Department: Public Services and Works
Reports To: Senior Pro Shop Attendant
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
Provide high quality customer service to the golfing public; perform assigned Pro
Shop operational activities; and perform other duties as assigned.
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Establishes excellent customer relations and ensures the highest quality of customer service to the golfing public.
Perform assigned activities and functions relating to golf operations in accordance with established City policies.
Take course reservations and assign the play of golfers.
Collect greens fees, golf cart rental, and pro shop sales.
Promoting the established Handicap System.
Assist in the implementation of Golf Course marketing programs.
Enforces all rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf carts and other golf facilities.
Balances cash drawer daily.
Maintain pro shop, cleaning, stocking, vacuuming and general house keeping.
Assist in special events and with other operations as needed.
Serve Alcohol during hours of operation and have knowledge of liquor laws as determined by the State of Arizona as provided by A.R.S. 4-112(G)(2).
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED Equivalent and/or two years of customer service experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to:
Effectively carry out all assigned golf course activities, interpret and analyze information; explain pertinent city and department policies and procedures; establish and maintain accurate records; communicate effectively; establish and maintain effective working relationships with the golfing public, employees, public officials, golf professionals and community groups.
On a continuous basis, sit or stand for long periods of time; use a telephone, and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means; and lift or carry weight of 50 pounds or less.
Skills: Knowledge of the game of golf and its rules and regulations; golf facilities and equipment and basic computer operations
Required Licenses or Certificates: Possession of a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
Successfully complete Title 4 Liquor Training as provided by A.R.S. 4-112(G)(2).
Must be at least 18 years of age per A.R.S. 4-244(10)(11)
Working Conditions: Must be willing to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Must maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License as a condition of employment. . Work may involve interacting with, working with, or supervising State of Arizona Department of Corrections inmates.
