Some of you remember Willard charity boxing 2005 when we orchestrated our Ringside proceeds toward Laura England’s kidney transplant cost… Laura was a Willard high school Senior that year and was just getting started on her life and we were in a position to help and so we did… Who knew that 25 years later, I too, would need the same kind of help… 

I am currently in rehab in St. Louis and this morning as I was walking away from my pulmonary rehab, rehabilitation training, I heard someone call my name twice… “Tom, Tom!”

I looked around, thinking it would probably be my wife, but was surprised to see Laura England Castillo, and her husband approaching me… Laura told me that she had received a second kidney transplant since 2005 and was currently on a follow up visit at Barnes Jewish Hospital… What a blessing it was to see her and that she’s still doing so well… And the last time I checked, she was serving the southwest Missouri region as a physicians assistant … God is good!

Our 17th annual Willard PAL - Willard Police Athletic League Spar Wars event is coming up May
2 @ 6pm (at the Station) This is our annual FUNdraiser for our boxing program so will be be accepting a $5 donation at the door. We are selling Value priced concessions at the door… Ask for the Value meal tell her Chief McClain sent you.

417 Boxing wants to take a moment to thank the Willard PAL - Willard Police Athletic League, coaches Steve Purdy and Mike Adams for hosting our boxers yesterday afternoon. 🏆

The Willard PAL boxers, parents, and coaches graciously brought us into their gym and we were excited to meet others with our same passion for the sport of boxing. Looking forward to the long lasting relationships as the sport brings us together.🥰

Just a reminder to everyone to check out the Willard PAL Spar Wars fundraiser on May 2nd at 6pm at the Willard Police Department. (Ask for the Willard PAL value meal and tell them Glenn sent you) 😁
