PRACTICE MAKES PERMANENT.

Learning to move well (how to brace, how to hinge, how to lockout and how to bail when it isn’t going right) is a FOUNDATION to building strength and power.

You don’t load dysfunction, unless you want more dysfunction. Only ego says this looks like 💩, let’s add more weight anyway. 🫣

Smart programming is how you get stronger just like smart training on the ball field makes better players. You can’t skip the basics and expect long term success.

Dawson isn’t a powerlifting athlete, he’s a baseball player, so we’ve worked on building his strength capacity while still focusing on maintaining speed in the reps. Over the last 6 weeks, his numbers have steadily gone up and up and up, and now…

We’re going to transition from our heavy strength to more sprints and power for this last 6-7 week block leading into baseball season. LET’S GO💥⚾️

I would like to sincerely thank every single member and friend of Hive Fitness who has donated, shopped, cooked and delivered food supporting both Justice Project and Catherine Barber Memorial Shelter these past couple of months. With your donations and matching funds from the gym, we've raised nearly $2,000!

We'll be cooking two more times this month. Friday we're making chili and soup with cornbread. And for the next Friday, we plan to make lasagna and sides. If you would like to provide a salad, sides, desserts or drinks let me know! We could also use paper plates and plastic forks and such.

PS- Everyone needs to make sure to ask LaSada for her Cole Slaw recipe! That stuff is 10/10 no notes!!!
