The Cabin’s mission is to become a National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) 5-star rated range and the recognized leader in its targeted market for a state-of-the-art indoor shooting range facility, fi****ms training, and ammunition sale services. The Cabin provide a comfortable, safe, and low pressure environment for all shooters, especially those new to the sport. We look forward to helping everyone new to gun ownership become acquainted with the basics of firearm safety, operations, and marksmanship. With specialized skill based classes and personal instruction, The Cabin will enlighten and equip people to be responsible gun owners.

NRA Basic Pistol Course

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use of a pistol.
This course is approx. eight hours long and includes classroom and range time.
It is an ideal place to start in your fi****ms training journey!

Topics covered:
-NRA’s rules for safe gun handling
-Pistol parts and operation
-Ammunition
-Shooting fundamentals
-Range rules
-Maintenance
*Fi****ms and ammunition are provided

Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook and upon successful completion of the Course, students will receive a course completion certificate.

At The Cabin Armory and Training Center Inc., we believe that responsible firearm ownership starts with proper training, confidence, and education. We know there are incredible people in our community who could benefit from the empowerment and security that come with proper training and equipment—and we want your help finding them!

• Nomination Window: Today through August 31st
• Eligibility: Nominees must be legally eligible to own and possess a firearm in Pennsylvania and must pass all standard state and federal background checks (NICS) at the time of transfer.
• Age Limit: Must be 21 years or older to be nominated.
