🥅🔥 CHIPMUNKS SHOOTOUT HIGHLIGHTS! 🔥🥅
The Galapagos and Macaronis continued their classic battles on Tuesday night, and this one needed EXTRA TIME! 👀🏒
After battling through regulation with neither team able to settle it, we headed to a SHOOTOUT! 😤💥

Here’s how the drama unfolded:
1️⃣ GALAPAGOS — Adelaide “Rose” Verstrand
Her FIRST-EVER shootout attempt! Rose came straight in and tried to go five-hole, but Hunter Hynes dropped right down and kicked it away!
2️⃣ MACARONIS — Bradley Bevan
Bradley tried to sneak one underneath the glove, but Reece Yost dropped down and cut off the angle, knocking the ball to the ground!
3️⃣ GALAPAGOS — Evan Davison
Evan went five-hole as well, but got a little too much air underneath it. The ball caught the top of Hunter’s leg pads where they came together!
4️⃣ MACARONIS — Tate Duffy
Tate went low glove side and appeared to beat Reece, but the ball PINGED OFF THE POST and bounced out the other side behind the goalie! 😱
5️⃣ GALAPAGOS — Emily Hooper
Emily came in looking to go upstairs after Hunter dropped down, but Hunter was just able to get a shoulder on it!
6️⃣ MACARONIS — Damian Lee
Damian tried the same spot Tate found and DRILLED THE POST TOO! The ball bounced right back out! 😳
7️⃣ GALAPAGOS — Ethan Hooper
Ethan went back to the popular five-hole target and THIS TIME IT WORKED! 💥 He powered it right through Hunter Hynes’ stick and into the net! 🚨
8️⃣ MACARONIS — Harper Woodling
The Macaronis’ last chance… but Reece Yost knew exactly what was coming. He dropped down to cover the five-hole and SEALED THE DEAL FOR THE GALAPAGOS! 🏆🔥
Two teams. One net. One winner. 🥅🔥

🏒🔥 FALL ADULT DEK HOCKEY LEAGUE — WEEK 2 RECAP! 🔥🏒
Week 2 brought us two awesome matchups, including a HUGE comeback, a back-and-forth battle, and one of the wildest scoring runs we’ve seen at the Dek Rink! 👀
🕕 6 PM — WYVERNS 9, DUCKS 4
The Ducks came out absolutely FLYING! 🦆🔥
They didn’t just take a 1-0 lead… or a 2-0 lead… they jumped out to a 3-0 advantage!
Landon Lukashunas ripped home TWO early goals, with Ryan Boland sandwiching one of his own in between after a great play from Garrett Underwood!
The Wyverns finally got on the board late in the first, but they knew they needed to pick up the pace against the upstart Ducks.
And pick it up they did!
Jeff Stilp rattled off a couple of nice goals, while Joe “Googs” got his second of the game to help the Wyverns claw all the way back. Luke Waskevich also ripped one off the post and in, and suddenly we had a 4-4 game after two periods! 😳
The third period started slowly, with both teams battling for that all-important next goal.
Then came the final five minutes…
🚨🚨🚨 THE JOE GOOGS SHOW! 🚨🚨🚨
Googs completely took over, scoring FIVE STRAIGHT GOALS IN LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES to turn a 4-4 nail-biter into a 9-4 Wyverns victory!
That scoring run will go down as one of the craziest stretches in Dek Rink history! 🤯🔥
FINAL: WYVERNS 9 — DUCKS 4
⭐ THREE STARS
🥇 Joe “Googs” — Wyverns: 7 TOTAL GOALS, including FIVE STRAIGHT to break the tie!
🥈 Jeff Stilp — Wyverns: 2 goals + 3 assists
🥉 Landon Lukashunas — Ducks: 2 rippers to get the Ducks going early
🕖 7 PM — BIG KEV’S 3, BDE 2
Big Kev’s came out with a GREAT opening shift, grinding out possession and creating pressure before burying two juicy rebound goals to jump out to an early 2-0 lead!
But as we’ve come to expect from BDE… THEY DON’T QUIT! 💪
Nicholas Solema and Damian Cavuto connected on a beautiful give-and-go, with Damo ripping one past Brent Gehret low glove side to cut the lead to 2-1 after one!
Both teams continued trading chances in the second, but the goalies were absolutely LOCKED IN. 🥅🔥
Brent Gehret and DJ Kish were both making some mind-blowing saves to keep this game within striking distance.
Then, late in the second, Zander Spear came through with a HUGE goal for Big Kev’s, firing a short-angle snipe into the top corner to make it 3-1!
BDE kept pushing and creating chances, and eventually got right back into it.
Kyle Hammer pounced on a net-front rebound and ripped it in quickly after some great hustle plays from the father-son duo of Rob and RJ Caudillo! 👊
With BDE trailing 3-2, they were preparing for one final push with an extra attacker…
But their best player, Nick Solema, took a penalty at the worst possible time, forcing BDE onto the penalty kill to finish the game.
No desperation chances. No late equalizer.
Big Kev’s held on for a hard-fought 3-2 victory!
A gritty, hard-nosed game from BOTH teams! 👏🔥

🏒🔥 FALL YOUTH DEK HOCKEY LEAGUE — WEEK 3 RECAP! 🔥🏒
We are already ONE-THIRD OF THE WAY THROUGH THE FALL SEASON, and Week 3 wrapped up the first round of matchups for every team! With one undefeated team remaining in each division and three teams sitting at 1-2, the standings are starting to take shape! 👀🔥

🐿️ CHIPMUNKS DIVISION
5:30 PM — SNARES vs CHINSTRAPS
The Snares continued their undefeated start to the season in a game that featured some HUGE offensive performances!

The Snares had Ethan Moyer filling in between the pipes, and he came up with the saves when they needed him. But offensively, the duo of Bristol Ahlbrandt and Mason Loignon led the way. Bristol has quickly become one of the league's rising stars and has been one of our most improved players!

The Chinstraps had their FULL team available, which meant a little less playing time for superstar Carmine Tolli. Still, they came out ready to battle.
It was 4-1 after one, with Bristol scoring twice and Mason Loignon and Talon each adding a goal.
The Snares continued their offensive attack in the second, pushing the lead to 9-3 after two periods.

Then Bristol REALLY took over. 🔥
She completed her hat trick in the second period, finishing with a CAREER-HIGH FIVE GOALS for the game! Mason Loignon completed his own hat trick, while Carmine Tolli also found the net two more times for the Chinstraps.

Carmine would add TWO MORE goals in the third, but it wasn't enough to spark the comeback as the Snares held on for another victory!

🏆 FINAL: Snares 10, Chinstraps 5

The Snares remain UNDEFEATED and are currently the team everyone is chasing in the Chipmunks Division!

5:30 PM — GALAPAGOS vs MACARONI
The reigning champion Galapagos were still searching for their first win of the Fall season, and once again, their matchup with the Macaroni was an absolute CLASSIC! 🔥

The Macaroni jumped out to a 2-1 lead after one, thanks to a two-goal period from Tate Duffy.
But the Galapagos came storming back in the second.
Evan Davison completed his hat trick, while Emily Hooper ripped in a goal of her own to give Galapagos a 4-2 lead after two.

And then Tate Duffy went RIGHT BACK TO WORK.
He scored twice more to complete his own four-goal game and tie things up!
Evan answered right back with his FOURTH GOAL of the game to put Galapagos back on top, but Tate wasn't finished yet. He buried one more to tie the game once again!

The goalies stood tall down the stretch, forcing this one into a shootout! 🥅🔥
Both goaltenders made big saves during the best-of-three shootout, but eventually Ethan Hooper found the back of the net with a low shot to give Galapagos the victory!

🏆 FINAL: Galapagos 5, Macaroni 4 (SO)

The reigning champs finally have their FIRST WIN of the Fall season! 🙌

🦫 BEAVERS DIVISION
6:30 PM — TUXEDOS vs EMPERORS
This one was a WILD one from start to finish!
The Tuxedos had their former goalie back in net as a substitute, and he looked like he NEVER LEFT THE CAGE! 🥅🔥

Despite plenty of shots and chances, neither team could find the back of the net in the first period.
Then Connor Gaughan sent a shot toward the net that looked like it was going wide — only for it to hit Aiden Ramirez in front and beat Dylan to give the Emperors a 1-0 lead.

The Tuxedos continued generating chances, with newcomer Joey Snell immediately making his presence felt with his size and speed.
Then, with just 15 seconds left in the second, Jeremiah Israel got loose on a breakaway and beat the goalie far-side to tie the game!
And just when it looked like the teams would head into the third tied...
JACKSON DEGNAN WITH THE BUZZER BE**ER! 🚨
His shot hit the back of the net RIGHT as the buzzer sounded, suddenly giving the Tuxedos a 2-1 lead!

In the third, Dylan Mlaker continued shutting down the Galapagos' leading scorer with save after save.
Then Dylan picked up his own rebound after it hit the post, chased it into the corner, found Rocco Cavuto, and Rocco ripped a low shot through to tie the game late!

With the clock winding down, newcomer Joey Snell made his impact known once again.
He got behind the defenders, received a great lead pass from Cam Roth, and somehow found a way to score on an awkward shot that flipped up off the goalie and STILL bounced in! 😱🔥

Another late-game goal. Another crazy finish. And the Tuxedos pulled off a HUGE upset!
🏆 FINAL: Tuxedos 3, Emperors 2
⭐ THREE STARS
🥇 Dylan Mlaker — Tuxedos: Outstanding performance in net; the biggest reason the Tuxedos were able to hold on
🥈 Joey Snell — Tuxedos: Immediate impact + game-winning goal
🥉 Jeremiah Israel — Tuxedos: 1 Goal, 1 Assist + lockdown defense
We usually don't give a Three Stars selection to a substitute, but Dylan was simply too important to leave off this list!

7:30 PM — KINGS vs ROYALS
Due to the rescheduling from Sunday, the Royals were without some of their biggest and oldest players and leaders, which took away from what is usually a great Kings vs Royals battle.
The Kings took advantage early, with Sylar Fox and Collin Krugel connecting back and forth throughout the game.

It was 4-0 after one and 9-0 after two, with the Kings continuing to pour on the offense.

With a big lead, the Kings started getting some of their younger players involved, and newcomer David Davison, who recently joined the Kings from the Tuxedos, scored his FIRST TWO CAREER BEAVERS DIVISION GOALS! 🎉
Westley Kilburn also found the net, along with more scoring from Sylar.

The Royals finally got on the board in the third when Luke Thompson scored, but the Kings had already built too large of a lead.
🏆 FINAL: Kings 11, Royals 1
⭐ THREE STARS
🥇 Sylar Fox — Kings: 4 Goals
🥈 David Davison — Kings: First 2 Career Beavers Division Goals!
🥉 Collin Krugel — Kings: 2 Goals, 3 Assists
The Kings continue to look like a team to watch as they chase the top spot in the Beavers Division!

🔥 THE STANDINGS ARE STARTING TO TAKE SHAPE! 🔥
After three weeks, we have ONE UNDEFEATED TEAM IN EACH DIVISION, while three teams sit at 1-2!
The first round of matchups is officially complete. Now it's time for teams to make adjustments, build momentum, and see if anyone can knock the undefeated teams off their perch! 🏆
The Fall Youth League is just getting started! 🏒🔥

Rain is supposed to go until at least 10:30 and even then the benches/surface will be very wet and slippery and dangerous. Safety is ALWAYS our number one concern and we are going to be cancelling the games and moving them to Tuesday. Teamlinkt App is updated

🔥🏒 FALL ADULT DEK HOCKEY LEAGUE — WEEK 1 RECAP! 🏒🔥
We are officially BACK for another Fall season, and Week 1 brought plenty of goals, big performances, and a whole lot of offense! 💥
🏆 CHAMPIONS COLLIDE! — WYVERNS vs BDE
The champions from our two Summer divisions went head-to-head to kick off the Fall season, and this one turned into an absolute shootout! 🔥
The Wyverns jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Nick Hart got BDE on the board. But the Wyverns kept rolling, using odd-man rushes and long-distance rippers that somehow found their way through to build a commanding 6-1 lead after one!
Then came another Wyverns scoring run, highlighted by THREE straight rippers from Zach Seifert! 🚨🚨🚨
BDE wasn't going away, though! Nick Hart and Nick Solema teamed up for three straight goals to get BDE right back into the fight, but the Wyverns continued answering with goals of their own. After a WILD second period, it was 12-6 Wyverns heading into the third!
BDE came flying out of the third as Jayce Baughman scored right off the face-off, cutting the deficit to five with plenty of time remaining. But the Wyverns continued to capitalize on odd-man rushes, with Jeff Stilp and Joe "Googs" making some slick dekes around the goalie.
BDE continued battling until the very end, with Nick Solema burying TWO goals in the final minute to make the score much more respectable — but the comeback ultimately fell just short.
⭐ THREE STARS
🥇 Jeff Stilp — Wyverns: 5 Goals, 2 Assists
🥈 Nicholas Solema — BDE: 5 Goals, 2 Assists
🥉 Zach Seifert — Wyverns: 4 Goals, 2 Assists
And there were plenty of other big point producers in this one, including Nick Hart, Colby Kennedy, and Joe "Googs"!
Final Score: Wyverns 14, BDE 9
The Wyverns showed that their scoring ability is STILL dangerous, even with some weaknesses exposed, while BDE showed plenty of fight and offensive firepower of their own. If this is any indication, both teams are going to be a handful as the Fall season rolls on! 👀🔥
💪 BIG KEV'S vs THE WALK-ONS
The other game of the night featured Big Kev's taking on the brand-new free-agent squad, The Walk-Ons!
Big Kev's came into the season loaded up with several Upper Division players from teams that didn't return this session, and they wasted NO time showing what they can do.
The Walk-Ons were missing several of their brand-new younger players, many of whom have plenty of ice hockey experience, and without them they struggled to generate much offense.
Big Kev's had FOUR different goal scorers in the first period, then Josh Tulanowski added his second before Anthony Burton completed a NATURAL HAT TRICK! 🎩🔥
That gave Big Kev's a commanding 8-0 lead, and they would go on to finish off the shutout!
⭐ THREE STARS
🥇 Anthony Burton — Big Kev's: Natural Hat Trick 🎩
🥈 Josh Tulanowski — Big Kev's: 2 Goals, 2 Assists

Big Kev's immediately look like a team ready to challenge the Wyverns for the top spot, while The Walk-Ons will look to get their full squad together and find their footing as the season continues!

🏒🔥 Fall Youth League – Week 2 Recap!!! 🔥🏒
We all enjoyed the long Labor Day weekend, but before the holiday break, we kicked things off with a full night of Youth Dek Hockey action on Thursday! 🙌
After a Week 1 filled with new rosters, new players, and plenty of adjustments, Week 2 gave us some familiar faces returning, some new players scoring their first career points, and even agame cut short by approaching thunderstorms! ⛈️
Here’s how the action went:

🐿️ 5:30 PM – Chipmunks Division
Snares 9, Macaroni 1
The Snares may be a brand-new team, but they are already showing that they are very well-balanced! They faced a Macaroni team coming off an easy Week 1 victory, but this time around they were without their two best offensive players. To make matters even tougher, their goalie Hunter Hynes was dealing with an injury and had a tough time getting down to make some saves.
Bristol Ahlbrandt clearly put in some extra work during her time away from the rink, because she came out FIRING! 🔥 She scored two goals in the first period, added another later, and finished with a hat trick and two assists!

Aidan Walsh continued his hot start to the season as well, scoring a hat trick for the second straight game. As one of the oldest and more experienced players in the division this session, he has been making his presence felt early!

And we had another great milestone as first-time player Talon Balucha scored his FIRST CAREER GOAL! 🎉
The Macaroni were able to avoid the shutout when Damian Lee found the back of the net in the third, but the Snares cruised to a 9-1 victory.
⭐ Three Stars
1️⃣ Bristol Ahlbrandt, Snares – First career hat trick + 2 assists
2️⃣ Aidan Walsh, Snares – Hat trick in his second straight game
3️⃣ Talon Balucha, Snares – First career goal!!!

Chinstraps 7, Galapagos 4
The Chinstraps had a tough Week 1 without their star player, but Carmine Tolli was BACK this week — and he SHOWED OUT! 😳🔥
Carmine wasted absolutely no time, scoring FOUR GOALS IN THE FIRST PERIOD to give the Chinstraps a huge early advantage.
Evan Davison was able to get the Galapagos on the board, but Carmine wasn't finished. He added two more goals in the second period, while Emily Hooper and Evan Davison teamed up to help the Galapagos battle back.
After two periods, it was 6-3, setting up an exciting finish.
Carmine then added his SEVENTH GOAL OF THE GAME to put the dagger in it! Evan Davison wasn't done either, completing his own hat trick to cap off a strong individual performance for the Galapagos.
Final Score: Chinstraps 7, Galapagos 4

1️⃣ Carmine Tolli, Chinstraps – 7 GOALS! 🤯
2️⃣ Evan Davison, Galapagos – Hat trick

🦫 6:30 PM – Beavers Division
Royals 10, Tuxedos 3
The Royals came out absolutely FLYING against a younger and less experienced Tuxedos squad, putting up a whopping SEVEN GOALS IN THE FIRST PERIOD!

Multiple Royals players found the scoresheet, including TJ Haloskie, who scored his FIRST CAREER GOAL! 🎉
The Tuxedos finally broke through when Jackson Degnan buried a breakaway goal off a beautiful feed from Cameron Roth.

Braidyn Drasher then blasted another point shot along the ground to complete his hat trick and put the game well out of reach.
Jeremiah Israel added a couple of goals for the Tuxedos, but the Royals were too much to overcome.

There was also some GREAT sportsmanship on display. With the game already out of reach, Khloe Konopinski and Jordan Card stepped in to play for the Tuxedos and help them finish out the game. 👏❤️
⭐ Three Stars
1️⃣ Braidyn Drasher, Royals – 3 point-shot clappers 💥
2️⃣ TJ Haloskie, Royals – First career goal
3️⃣ Jeremiah Israel, Tuxedos – 2 goals

Kings 5, Emperors 1
The Emperors came into this one fresh off their thrilling Week 1 shootout victory, but they had a tough matchup ahead against a Kings team that dominated in Week 1.

Preston Roche was back in net for the Kings, filling in between the pipes, and the Kings jumped out to a 3-1 lead behind goals from Dylan Mlaker and Collin Krugel.

Connor Gaughan got the Emperors back into the game with a goal, but Dylan Mlaker answered right back, completing his hat trick to make it 4-1 after two periods. Liam Dutzar picked up the assist on the goal for his FIRST CAREER POINT IN THE BEAVERS DIVISION! 👏

Collin Krugel then buried his second point shot of the game to make it 5-1 and put the Kings firmly in control.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans! ⛈️ With thunderstorms approaching, the game had to be ended early for safety.
