Results from yesterday’s Highlander Junior Tour. Congrats to Luke Wood for winning The Old Tom Morris Flight and the first Highlander Medallist Pin! Congrats to Rhett Kirkland for his victory over Braxton Williams in a one hole playoff. Both players broke 80 on a difficult day of cold temps, wind and rain. Last but not least, congrats to the Bennett Boys for winning the first ever Francis Ouimet Flight!! Next up for Highlander is Arlington Ridge Feb 12. Registration www.thehighlanderjuniortour.com

Does staying down help? Staying in spinal flexion increases the chances of your elbows bending. Staying in flexion restricts body pivot which causes your elbows to bend. Bent elbows reduce the radius of the swing, causing topped golf shots. The pros extend their spine and straighten their arms as they hit the ball.

Mark absolutely changed my game. I took 6 private lessons for one-half hour each and feel like I have taken up a new game. He gave me fundamentals to work on and I've never driven the ball so far, hit my 6 iron and 5 wood ever like I do now. I even went immediately after the putting lesson and had 4-inches cut off my putter. I have a new game and only 6 years wasted using my old hacking techniques. (Yes, I know, I really didn't have 6-years to waste.) Well worth the money!

Trace Kirkland continued his surging status as a junior golfer in Florida! Trace shot 83 in the 2A Region 3 Boys championship! That was 16th out of 72 of the top boys in 2A schools…low man for the Buffalo! Last year Trace averaged 91 strokes per 18 holes and narrowly missed playing in Districts! Quite an improvement Kirklander!!!

The golf swing is made on tilted angle because the ball is on the ground. The first thing a golfer should do is tilt forward at address and then turn on a tilted angle. Susan caught on quickly and push draws followed directly.
