Better late than never … we are so thankful for all of the Maududo Moms that completely dominated the Moms on Mats class earlier this month! We love seeing you all earn your Pink Belts or 2026 tip. 🩷 There are a lot more pics posted in our Members Only group for our students and their families to view. Sorry we didn’t get any pics of our Lil Dragons moms. Next up … Dads and Pads on June 22nd … so they can earn their Camo Belts or 2026 tip!

Tom Rackley is the father of our Martial Arts America - Wilder instructor, Mr. TJ Rackley, and someone who has quietly supported our Maududo karate family, and our community, for years. If you’ve ever been to one of our tournaments or board breaking events, you’ve seen Tom there – steady, calm and always ready to help a child or parent who needed medical care. For eight years, he has been our tournament medic and a true part of our schools heart. He has always been a man of service … as a City of Cincinnati police officer, as an EMT for multiple Northern Kentucky fire departments, and more recently fulfilling his calling as a nurse at Jewish Hospital ... now it's our turn to help him.

In March 2024, Tom was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. Since then, he has endured over 20 surgical procedures, along with daily chemo for the past 18 months and daily radiation that just ended. Tom has been unable to work for over a year now due to this battle. Insurance covers some cost, but the out-of-pocket expenses are overwhelming and financially debilitating.

Please help us support someone who has supported us all. We’re coming together to help Tom, and the Rackley family, in their time of need. We have created this fundraiser in effort to help Tom keep fighting and alleviate some of the stress that comes from the immense financial burden of this battle. Tonight is MOMS ON MATS! This is for ALL RANKS - Lil Dragons up to Teen/Adult Black Belts! Moms, Grandmas, Aunts or the special adult female in your life can attend class with you and earn a Pink Belt OR if they already have a Pink Belt, they will earn their 2026 tip! Moms on Mats will take place at the regular class time for your rank.

We will still have Board Breaking class. We will not have a separate Warrior Class. We will have one floor running Moms on Mats with any Teen/Adult that wants to bring Mom and the other floor will be a combined Teen/Adult curriculum class.

Also, if you purchased a Tournament T-shirt this past weekend, you can wear it in place of your jacket this week. It must be a MFT 42 t-shirt. Starting tomorrow, we'd love for everyone to bring in the medals that they earned so we can see them! 🏅

We had an absolutely wonderful evening celebrating all of our students and instructors successes at our annual 2025 Black Belt Club Banquet on Friday night! Our hearts were filled with pride to see all of you accept your awards. Congratulations to everyone in the entire Maududo Federation! We would love to give some special Maududo Wilder shout outs ...

Ms. Michelle Hildebrand was promoted to MASTER INSTRUCTOR! She endured a long and arduous testing at the end of September and found out Friday night that she passed and earned her Gold Stripe. It takes years of dedication and loyalty to reach this Instructor Rank. She was promoted to Red Stripe Asst. Instructor back in 2011 and she has never given up. She has been an instrumental part to the success of the Wilder school and is a trusted advisor to Ms. Woods. She is the first Instructor to be promoted by Ms. Woods to Master Instructor at Martial Arts America - Wilder and we couldn't be more proud! You'll be able to see her wearing her new Gold Stripe uniform this week in classes!

Ms. Laura Walter was named the Martial Arts America - Wilder 2025 Instructor of the Year! Ms. Walter has worked so hard to attain this esteemed title. She comes to every class prepared with an engaging class plan, a great attitude and a desire to be the best she can be for her students. And it's not only in classes ... she is always going above and beyond off the mats as well. She is quick to jump right in to help with Wilder events, Maududo Federation tournaments, new student orientations, helping Ms. Woods and the other staff keep the front desk running smoothly and the list goes on! The Wilder school is very blessed to have her on our team! You can see her Instructor of the Year award on the front counter.

Next, we have THREE Grand Champions at Maududo Wilder this year. It takes A LOT of dedication and perseverance to earn these titles as you have to have the highest point total from all of the Maududo Federation tournaments throughout the year in your division! Our Wilder Grand Champions for 2025 are ...

Miss G. Kloeker - she earned the title earned in the 8 - 9 year old Girls division. This is her 2nd time earning a Grand Champion title, which results in her first Grand Champion Belt. She is also a Jr. Instructor and a member of the Maududo Federation Demo Team!

Miss L. Steffen - she earned the title in the15 - 17 year old Teen Girls division. Because this is her first time winning a Grand Champion title, she was presented with a Maududo Custom Bo. She is also a Blue Stripe Asst. Instructor and a member of the Maududo Federation Demo Team!

Ms. Christa Justus - she earned the title in the extremely competitive Women's Division. This is also her first time winning and was presented her Maududo Custom Bo! Ms. Justus is a Red Stripe Asst. Instructor and brings great energy to our program!

Lastly, we had 3 special Degree Certificates awarded …

Ms. Mahala Smith and Mr. Logan Burns were presented their 6th Degree Certificates. It takes YEARS of hard work, dedication and perseverance to attain these degrees. Ms. Smith and Mr. Burns both started the Maududo journey as kids at the Amelia location and Wilder was fortunate to add them to our instructor team when the Amelia school closed its doors. They both bring so much knowledge, passion and fun to our program.

Ms. Julia Woods was awarded her 7th Degree Certificate. She is the 2nd student that Mr. Mike Franzen has promoted to this rank in the Maududo Federation and is already setting sights on 8th Degree in 2032!

Again, we are so proud of ALL of our students and instructors for every goal earned in 2025 and we can't wait to see you achieve so many more goals in 2026. Goals we set are goals we get! We are also so incredibly thankful to Mr. Mike Franzen for creating this top notch organization that allows us to be the best version of ourselves and for our staff and amazing families that support all of the Maududo martial artists on this journey! Together we are truly Maududo Strong!
