That time you went to Nashville with 25 Baila Comigo friends celebrating your 10 year anniversary and took a week to recover! Enjoyed drinks and sun at our roof top pool at Holston House. In addition to Zumba, this year I started teaching Country Fusion and we were able to put our line dancing skills to use at the Wildhorse Saloon, Bootleggers, and Nashville Palace. Toured the Grand Ole Opry and stood in “the” circle on stage. Rode the trolley to see some of Nashville’s sites. Enjoyed a rooftop dinner and bull riding at Nashville Underground. We sang, we danced, we drank, and drank some more at tons of h***y tonks, ending the weekend at my favorite, Kid Rock’s Big Ass H***y Tonk! Thank you to all who celebrated with me. Cheers to 10 years!

9 years ago today, after a “let’s do this” moment, I opened my own Zumba studio. Never did I think then that I would have to operate my business through a pandemic. I had to quickly change my business model to keep Baila Comigo open. At first I taught virtually through Zoom for months all alone in the studio. Then with strict guidelines we had to socially distance and wear masks while exercising. We now exercise without masks but do remain socially distanced in marked spaces on the floor. I will continue to offer classes in studio, virtually through Zoom, and prerecorded classes that you can take at any time throughout the day that fits your schedule. Now that we don’t have to wear masks I am reminded of my favorite thing to see in class: how Zumba fitness makes people feel.
