Due to deteriorating weather conditions associated with Tropical Storm Arthur, all Stone County School District activities scheduled for Thursday, June 18 have been cancelled.
This includes:
🔹Athletics
🔹Band
🔹 Extended School Year (ESY)
🔹 Summer Remediation Classes
🔹 All other student-related activities

An update regarding district and school office closures will be provided the morning of June 18.

Please continue to monitor School Status messages and our page for updates. The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority.

🏀 Season Recap: Tomcat Basketball 🏀

✨ What a season for our Stone High School Tomcats! ✨

After starting out with a tough stretch, the team fought hard, improved every game, and finished the regular season with more wins than losses 🏅💪

✨They battled their way to the District Championship Game 🏆 and earned a spot in the First Round of the State Playoffs 🎯. There is so much to celebrate! 🎉

Through every challenge, our players and coaches remained focused, united 🤝, and committed every step of the way. They showed up, put in the work 💪, represented our school with pride 🐾, and our coaches stayed committed to the team and basketball program with integrity.

🏀 This season was about more than wins. It was about growth 🌱, resilience 💥, leadership 🧭, accountability 📌, and brotherhood 🤍. Those lessons will last far beyond the final buzzer ⏱️.

✨A special thank you to our senior players, whose dedication and hard work helped make this season a success. We wish them the very best in their future endeavors.💪

✨We also thank our supporters, Booster Club members, community partners 🤝, players’ families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, our school and community 🏫, and our coaches’ families 💙 for the countless hours, sacrifices, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout the season.

💥 The Stone High Tomcat Basketball program has set the standard of hard work. Everything is earned through hard work, dedication, discipline, and determination, building student-athletes who are today’s learners and tomorrow’s leaders on and off the court. Wow, what a game! Our Stone Tomcats pulled out a big win tonight in the 2nd round of the District Tournament against Northeast Jones! The intensity was high and the Tomcats stepped up when it mattered most.
