If you want to see pure joy watch a young child playing a game they love.

⚾️ This weekend I had the opportunity to help coach a clinic with kids that were 4-7 years old. Everyone should get the chance to “play” with kids this age. There is no pressure to perform. No anxiety to not make mistakes. Just fun and learning. They are like little sponges. It was awesome!

😁 I think we make things too complex in sports many times. We forget what should be at the core of the experience for kids we are coaching. It’s ok for older kids to have fun in their sports journey…it’s not just reserved for little kids.

❤️ May we always have opportunities to gain perspective in our passion of coaching.

You can’t skip the hard work on your way to success.

❓Wouldn’t it be nice if we could all get to where we wanted to be without putting in so much hard work, sweat, blood, and tears to get there? I know we’ve all thought this…especially when we’re in the middle of it.

❤️ I’m glad that we don’t get to skip the struggle though…

❤️ I would have missed so much without my journey. All of the moments of struggle have taught me so much about myself.

❤️ I wouldn’t appreciate where I am at this point as much without the hard work it took to get here. Looking back on the struggle has allowed me to look at the world with a different perspective.

⭐️ I have learned that our life is made up of the experiences we have on our way to “Somewhere” we’re trying to get to. Let’s make sure to savor the journey…that’s where the good stuff happens!

OUR CHARACTER IS DETERMINED BY WHAT WE DO WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING.

⭐️ This is a profound thought. A truly amazing mantra to live by. It’s easy to do the right thing when people are watching and you are trying to impress. Not so easy when you have nothing to “Gain” by doing the right thing.

❤️ As a parent, teacher, and coach I have approached things as if somebody is always watching. In my line of work it’s mostly true…and usually it’s a kid watching.

❤️ Kids learn more by watching our behaviors and reactions than they ever will by things we say. Our actions truly do speak louder than words!

✅ Coaches, this is why you can always tell what an opposing coach is really like by the way his team acts. THE PLAYERS ARE A REFLECTION OF THE COACH.

❤️ Parents and coaches let us always remember this…They are watching us constantly for guidance. Let’s show them the right way to handle ourselves.

Solid command of offspeed. High level competitor. Will contribute to a college program soon. Very high ceiling!

Keep this guy on your radar!
