Wickford Regatta:
WSA hosted the last NBYA Junior event of the summer this past week. WSA did really well over the six-race series in the over 20 boat C420 fleet and 10 boat Laser Fleet. While the wind was nice with 5 races on Tuesday, Wednesday's light winds only allow us to get one rave off. Great job by a group of volunteers

A few of our WSA Racing Team attended a rules seminar by Dave Perry at Edgewood YC. Perry is a world renowned rules expert and the author of numerous books on the subject.

Ida Lewis Clinic & Regatta
67 boats descended upon Ida Lewis YC for their annual Opti Clinic & Regatta. WSA sent 10 sailors each day evenly split between the Green Fleet (beginner racers) and the Champ Fleet (more experienced racers). Kiera O was the top boat, tying for 3rd in the 33-boat Champ fleet. Green fleet is not scored but Quinn M received the most improved award.

Mary Rose Marshall Regatta & Clinic: Day-2 (RACING)
Beautiful day today. Seven races in 10-13 knots and some chop provided challenging conditions. WSA did well with Keira O (2nd), Natalie R (4th), Sammy F (11th) and Emilia L (12th). Elle P in her first ever regatta finished every race and beat a few people in a number of them. Something I probably didn't do in my first regatta.
Thanks to EGYC and EBSA for hosting a great event.

Mary Rose Marshall Girls Clinic & Regatta
Clinic day at the MRM Regatta provided light & shifty winds but our 4 participants did great. Natalie R pull off a couple of dominating 2nds in the middle practice races. Sammy F had a great last race right up near the top of the fleet and Emilia L finished consistently in the top 5 of the 14 boat fleet. Ella P, in her first regatta, showed consistent improvement throughout the day beating a number of boats in the last race.
Tomorrow, the real regatta.
