If you're not sure what you're looking at--these are ingredient lists from 2 different heavy cream cartons. The top is a store brand and the bottom is a organic brand. Why show this to you? To highlight how different one single (simple) product can be and to stress the importance of READING INGREDIENT LISTS. Ingredient lists are written greatest to least-- meaning first item listed is majority of product and so on. Cream is a natural product and you would expect that it is just that. But as you can see, it's not-- in either brand. But one is 'cleaner' than the other.
When it comes to ingredients, less is always more. Yes, in the longer ingredient list, the additives are less than .5% but it all adds up. And if I'm poisoning you is it ok as long as it's just a little bit?
Plus it begs the question, why? Why add it at all??
Chose cleaner, simpler foods--ideally whole foods-- that your body understands. Confusing our body leads to issues.
