Good evening Hawk Nation! Just a reminder that the fall sports parent meeting will be held tomorrow night (August 20th) in the cafeteria @ HMS. The meeting will begin at 5:00pm led by our Athletic Director. Following that, we will break off into specific sports. Everyone will receive the football team guidelines documents and we will also be covering other information regarding the season.

With that said, practice tomorrow will go from 3:10pm to 4:40pm in order for players to get to the locker room and put their equipment away.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

P.S. if you know a parent of a player that does not have Facebook, please share this information with them. Tomorrow night, we will present a better way to get announcements out to parents.

🚨Good evening Hawk Nation!! Just another reminder of the first practice tomorrow after school. Please be sure that your son or daughter’s physical form is uploaded.

Secondly, we have to obide by the KSHSAA guidelines. There is a high chance that we will not be able to practice outside due to the anticipated temperature. Please have players bring tennis shoes to school so that they are still able to participate in practice.

Practice times:

3:10pm-5:10pm on Monday (8/18) and Tuesday (8/19)

3:10pm-4:40pm on Wednesday (8/20)

5:00pm Wednesday (8/20) - Parent meeting in the HMS Cafeteria

Good afternoon Hawk Nation!! A couple announcements:

First, this is a reminder that today after school is equipment checkout for 8th graders only. 7th grade equipment checkout will take place on Friday after school. Students will come to the locker to grab their equipment and are free to go after that!

Secondly, we are allowed to officially practice next Monday, August 18th. Practice time will be from 3:10pm - 5:10pm!
Practie days during the season are usually Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. However, the first couple weeks will look different being that we have a Tuesday game on September 9th. More info to at the parent meeting!

Good morning Hawk Nation!! We are less than one week away from our first official practice of the 2025-2026 football season!

Just have a few quick reminders:
Please make sure to have sports physicals completed and uploaded to Rank One for the first official practice on Monday, August 18th. If student athletes do not have a physical on file, they will not be allowed to practice. Also, please remember to pay the sports fee in the front office.

Secondly, on Wednesday, August 20th, we will hold the parent meeting in the cafeteria. This meeting will begin at 5:00pm.

Lastly, equipment checkout will begin after school this Thursday (8/14) and Friday (8/15)! Players, based on their grade, will need to go to the locker room after the bell rings at 2:50pm on both days in order to checkout their football equipment.
Thursday: 8th grade only
Friday: 7th grade only

Good evening Hawk nation!
First, I would like to apologize for the delay of this message and the inconvenience.

Secondly, the two extra practices on July 16th and 17th will be from 7:30am to 9:00am. Players will only need to bring cleats and a water bottle.

Lastly, everyone that is struggling to get files uploaded to Rank One, I will get more information on why it’s not allowing uploads to happen tomorrow morning when I make it to the building.

Good morning Hawk nation!! Just giving another reminder and also, an additional announcement for the coming week.

The football with Campus High School is scheduled for July 14th & 15th. The time is from 6pm-8pm. All players need to arrive by 5:45pm to check-in. Please bring cleats and water bottle to this camp.

For HMS players only:
As per the rules for summer sports activities, the last day for sports specific activities before school begins is July 17th. With that said, we will have two extra practices on July 16th and 17th at C**t Stadium. The start and end time for these practices will be finalized by the end of the day today and will be posted to share with all parents of 7th and 8th graders that are planning to come out for football this coming fall!

Good morning Hawk nation!! Just a quick announcement reminder:

We will be joining the Campus C**ts for the 2-day football camp. The camp will take place next Monday and Tuesday (July 14th and 15th). Camp time will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Look forward to seeing all of the players there!

Another reminder, please get sports physicals completed. Players do not need a physical to participate in this camp but please try to get them completed before school starts again. The first day of school for 7th and 8th graders is August 14th.

Good afternoon Hawk nation! Practice is still on for today. This will be our final practice until the 2-day camp in July with the Campus High School football team. Specific dates and times for that camp will bee posted to this page!

Everyone received the necessary forms yesterday if they did not have them (physical form and Rank One). If they still need any, the front office will have extras at HMS. Please let me know through email or messenger if you have any questions.
