What if walking, biking, and rolling between communities was easier, safer, and more connected? That’s the focus of the WAMPO Strengthening Transportation Alternatives for the Region (STAR) Plan. This effort will improve regional active transportation by evaluating existing bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, identifying opportunities to improve connectivity between communities, and updating a regional map.

Our hearts are with the families, friends, and youth soccer community affected by yesterday’s tragedy at Stryker Sports Complex.

No family should ever lose someone at a place meant for play and community. We are grieving alongside everyone touched by this loss, and we’re grateful to the first responders and everyone who stepped in to help.

As verified ways to support the families become available, we’ll help share them.

Wichita’s sports community has always been a family. Now is the time to show it. Let’s surround these families and everyone affected with love and support, today and for as long as they need us.
