Well… Mother Nature held off 🌤️ but that didn’t stop the storm of defeat for the 99Racing team this weekend 😮‍💨

There were definitely some highs and lows at the Lonnie Smith Memorial at 81 Speedway. Both the 99A and 99C came out strong and picked up heat race wins 💪🔥 which had us feeling really good heading into the features.

The 99A driven by Aaron Esparza rolled off outside row 1 for the A Feature, but unfortunately with the wrong spring in the car, all he could really do was hang on and try to keep it out of reverse after what felt like endless cautions 🚦😵‍💫 And as always… you’ve got a few drivers trying to win the whole race on lap 1 🙄🏎️💨

Even with all of that, the 99A was able to battle through and finish the night in 6th.

Now the 99C driven by Josh Caudell… that car was FAST. Probably the best it has been all year 🔥🏁

Starting outside row 3 in the A Feature, he could drive that car anywhere on the track and was moving forward quick. After a caution or two, the 99C was rolling the high side of turn two when a squirrel ( #5) couldn’t hold his line and pushed up the track, causing the 5C to get shoved right into us… ending our night early 😤

We truly had a top 5 car, maybe better. But I guess that’s racing… although if they took the squirrels out of the field, we might agree a little more 😂🐿️

We’ll get the car fixed up over the break and come back ready to fight again 💪🏁

🏁 Race Recap from the Arnold Stoner Stock Cars & Guitars Memorial at 81 Speedway 🏁

Last night was one wild night of racing. There were several BIG wrecks throughout the night that brought out a lot of caution flags and hard hits, and we’re extremely thankful all of the drivers were able to walk away.

Our thoughts and prayers are especially with the Ozbun family after the scary incident last night 🙏 Please keep them in your prayers. Racing is one big family, and moments like that remind everyone how important safety truly is. ❤️

The 99Racing team battled through the chaos all night long:

🏎️ The 99C Mini Stock finished 6th
🏎️ The 99A Stock Car finished 7th

Not exactly the finishes we were hoping for, but we kept digging, stayed out of trouble, and brought both cars home safely on an absolutely beautiful night at the track.

🎸 Harrison Steele put on an awesome show after the races and helped end the night on a great note!

🟢🏁 Race Recap – Green Flag Frenzy

What a beautiful night for racing at 81 Speedway — and a wild one from start to finish.

The 99C Mini Stock came out strong, picking up the heat race win 💪🏁 and starting 4th in the feature. Unfortunately, early in the race during a caution, we took a revenge hit that flattened the driver rear tire.

The team got it changed and sent him back out to the rear — and he drove it hard all the way back up to 9th. With just one lap to go, we spun it out and ended the night there. Not the finish we wanted, but a hard charge and a lot of fight in 99C car.

The 99A had a solid night as well — grabbing the heat race win and starting 5th in the A Feature. He kept it clean through a caution-filled race and brought it home with a strong 3rd place finish 🥉🔥

💰Shoutout and a huge Thanks to Holle Racing for adding an additional $100 to the 3rd place StockCar winner!!! We appreciate it!!!

It was a night full of cautions and tore-up equipment, but we’re thankful the 99Racing team loaded up with minimal damage and not a lot of work ahead of us.

We’ll take that and move on to the next one.
