Throwback to the 2002 WSU Baja SAE team! This team competed at the 2002 SAE Midwest Mini-Baja competition. Team A (car #34) placed 40th overall with a total score of 478.76 points. Team B (car #35) placed 82nd with a total score of 348.04 points. With this team hitting its 40th year anniversary, it’s always fun to go back and admire all the hard work and effort our past team members have put into this organization! Wichita State University

It was a very busy weekend for the WSU Baja team. We had an amazing time at the engineering expo, where our activity was building balloon-powered cars. The kids would build their own car, then test them on our track. In the end, we were able to help create around 100 cars! The following day we participated in Open Streets ICT. It was amazing showing off the car and talking to so many people. Can’t wait to do these events next year! Society of Women Engineers Wichita Section - SWE Wichita State University
