As I sit and reflected this morning, it has been an extremely trying, sad, confusing, stressful, gut-wrenching and unbelievable last couple of weeks. I guess I thought Core would be around for many many years.
For those of you who have your own business, either on-line or brick & mortar, it can be a very tough situation. But I KNOW having your own physical place, is EXTREMELY difficult. People look to you to keep things going. And even tho I was technically the sole owner, there is no way Core
would have ran the way it did without Helen. Even tho her and I have parted ways, she ALWAYS worried about Core. She handled the day-to-day aspects of the gym while I was working my reg job. And this closure has been super difficult for her. But I know she will be ok. I've seen the comments in response to her posts and she has so many people telling her it's a new beginning, that they love her, that she will do great wherever she goes and to keep her head up, and I echo all those sentiments 100%.
When we decided on naming the gym Core Evolution, it was because Core was the basis of some of our biggest values: our Core group of Family, Core group of friends, our strong Core beliefs in life and of course the very Core of our physical bodies. We just wanted to make everyone and everything in our lives better so they can live
their best lives and be the best they can be.
So, I believe, to that end, Core is not done! Yes, the physical building may be gone, but the positivity, energy, blood, sweat and tears will live on forever! We always told new clients that we would love to have them around forever, but we knew that probably wouldn't be the case. But we just hoped to impart some of our knowledge and wisdom upon them, so that wherever their fitness journey took them, they would remember some of those lessons and take a little bit of Core with them.
