On Friday, Edgar Cadena suffered a stroke.
Edgar is one of the best people I know and a huge part of our academy. He’s been a cornerstone of our kids program, a dedicated competitor, and more importantly, an incredible human being who brings positivity and strength to everyone around him.
But Edgar is more than Jiu Jitsu.
He is a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather — a true family man who has always shown up for others without hesitation.
Now, he needs us.
His recovery will be a long road, and during this time, his family will need support. We’re coming together as a community to help ease the financial burden so they can focus on what truly matters — Edgar’s healing and being by his side.
If you know Edgar, you know how strong he is. He’s a fighter in every sense of the word, and we truly believe he will come back from this.
