This Memorial Day weekend, Gracie Barra Whittier will be closed Saturday, May 23rd through Monday, May 25th as we take time to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

We will reopen Tuesday, May 26th on our normal class schedule for all current and prospective students.

Today we’re highlighting Professor Phill, one of the most inspiring stories in our 15-year journey 🥋🙌.

Phill came to Gracie Barra Whittier as a fresh white belt and quickly became one of our academy’s first shining examples of how Jiu-Jitsu transforms lives. Through years of dedication, discipline, and passion, Jiu-Jitsu molded him into an incredible version of himself — and that same energy has been infectious ever since 💪.

He went on to become our first homegrown black belt and now serves as the Head Professor here at GB Whittier. Phill continues to help transform lives every day as he shares his love for Jiu-Jitsu with the Whittier community ❤️.
