Great job JEDI: 3-0 at Calumet College of St. Joseph!!!

The 18u JEDI had one whale of a day today on the shore of Lake Michigan at Calumet College of St Joseph going 3-0 on the day and playing some great softball as a team and individual efforts by these ladies were amazing. I’m so proud of all these girls today. They played so good. 35 hits and only 2 strikeouts. Every single girl had a least 1 hit, all but one girl had 2 or more, and the girl who had 1 hit also had 2 walks and a hit by pitch. .547 batting average today. .618 on base percentage. We only had 1 error. And turned 2 beautiful double plays! This team is in a growth spurt as we returned 6 players and added 6 which makes for a super strong 12 players that are all contributing to the success and strength of the team.

Way to go Phasma! Keep working hard.

Phasma attended a Round Robin today at Huntington University. First game was against a very heavy hitting team we managed to hold them but fell a little short with a loss 5-1.

•Abigail (Abby) Bowers (2028) went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.
•Karissa Zywicki (2029), Kate Carlson (2028), Brooklyn Barden (2029), Aliyah Williams (2029), and Abby Bowers (2028) each collected one hit.

Game two these young ladies found the bats and played great defense and rounded off the game with a win 10-5.

Brooklyn Barden - 1
Karissa Zywicki - 1

Game 1 of the Calumet College Showcase goes to the 18u JEDI 7-1. We played in consistent rain but performed very well. Our top and middle of the batting order slugged the ball very well.

Lexi 1-2 triple
Ivy 1-2 and 6 Ks pitching
Kaylee 1-2
Elly 1-2
Amelia a walk and stolen base
Jazzy a walk
Jocelyn a walk

We had ZERO strikeouts at the plate. This team puts the ball in play!

Excellent work 18u JEDI!

First Fall College Campus Showcase Visit of the 2026 Year and our young ladies won the championship at Saint Mary of the Woods College. Our 18u Jedi battled in 4 games today and went 3-1 and won in the Championship game 6-5 in tight battle vs a very good Indiana Smoke team. We had so many great plays and moments today! Team and individual growth is happening and we are getting our Jedi recruited.

18u Jedi 2028 Centerfielder Jazzy Carteaux showcased her talents today at the Grace College Prospect Camp. She reportedly had a great camp as she made some diving catches and hit the ball very well. Great job Jazzy!

Our Fall College Showcase Schedule kicks off this weekend in Terre Haute, Indiana on campus at Saint Mary of the Woods College in a full Sunday of games in a round robin and championship game. Our 18u Jedi are ready to showcase their talents and also learn more about SMWC and their softball program. We are blessed to have such a great opportunity and are grateful to Coach Gina Furrey Buhse for the invitation to visit campus and showcase our team.

Awesome to have these 2 teams kicking off the 2026/2027 showcase travel season together today at North Side High School. Both teams played well and had fun and both teams got a victory as the teams split the doubleheader. Also what a great crowd of support we had today from family, friends and fans of Fort Wayne Force Fastpitch Softball. Thank you for a great day and thank you to Joe Walker for helping us arrange to play on the diamond today. Also thank you to Mia Flores, Force alumni and current Anderson University softball star, for umpiring this afternoon. She did a good job and had a smile on her face the entire time. Proud to be Fort Wayne Force Family! Great job Jedi and Phasma!
